MainStay Suites Cedar Rapids North - Marion

Room that I booked and paid for was not available. Given another room that was not the same. Pullout sofa had no mattress. TERRIBLE

I do not recommend this hotel. There was a crack in the ceiling. Fire alarms went off every single evening/middle of the night waking up my baby. The thermostat is set at 67 and doesnt change, so we froze all day and all night. The evening/over night host at the desk was not friendly, no smiles, no greeting us when we checked in. Was not a good hotel.

Wasn’t the best. Bed was okay, but we had to run and get our own towels and blankets. The door to our room also wasn’t very secure. Late at night there were a bunch of loud guests as well.

Ceiling alarms in the room are loose and discolored. Not sure if it’s even working. Window locks are not working properly, even worst we stayed on the 1st floor. No essential in the room. Couch, well I wouldn’t sit on it. The woman told us at check in that the breakfast starts at 0500. My husband went to the dining at 0700 but there was no food🤣lol

Elevator area was hard to find and the emergency doors kept closing. Walls in the room were a bit dirty.

The bathroom sink didn't drain properly.

Close to the assisted living facility we were relocating to.

It was ok. Just elderly lady had difficulty getting to room.
