Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass

I stayed 3 nights at this resort for a conference. It’s not that far from the airport but not too close to anything. The resort is expansive and takes a while to walk around. It took over 5 minutes to walk from my room to the hotel gym! My room was clean and spacious. Wi-Fi worked well. The gym was a little small but had 2 peloton bikes, dumbbells , and trend mills. It was a little crowded in the am with everyone working out that was attending the conference. Had a nice stay and would stay here again.

The resort is lovely and peaceful, nothing near it. My room was very comfortable and clean. The central part of the hotel takes advantage of the beautiful surroundings of reservation and mountains, and the lobby, bar, patio, and pool bar all have a great view because of this. Pools are large and deck chairs plentiful. I enjoyed my stay overall. But avoid the Kosin restaurant. On arrival day Inhad a tasteless well done burger, undercooked fries, and 2 bouts of uncontrollable 💩. Breakfast 2 days later I had not learned my lesson. Had breakfast, and the waitress simply picked up a cup of coffee poured at another table and unwanted, and gave it to me. Gross. On the other hand, the pool bar went out of their way for great service. I wouldn’t avoid the hotel, just the main restaurant. You are close enough to the casino and Chandler for a variety of other food options.

The hotel was immaculately maintained, and even filled with some amazing scent (my youngest remarked that it smells like a Disney hotel!) The beds were comfy, rooms were clean. The staff was very friendly, but there did seem to be too few of them to accommodate the number of guests (ie at the pool, lobby bar, check in). Check in felt a bit rushed and we were not made aware of the wide variety of activities that I’m just now learning about by reading other reviews! Additionally, we had planned on paddle boarding as advertised on the website, but learned upon arrival that it’s not open - kids were super disappointed but luckily we pivoted to a sunrise horseback ride, which was amazing. If we come back I hope to do both! The food was honestly the only disappointing piece of the trip. My poolside tortilla salad, for example, had but a tiny sprinkling of toppings (beans, tortilla strips, avocado) and therefore was essentially lettuce completely drowned in some spicy vinaigrette. This definitely did not seem worth the nearly $20 price tag. My favorite small touch is the fact that, as soon as we took a seat at the pool, we were met with a pitcher of ice water and cups. Truly, all resorts should do this.

The view and staff where amazing. The buffet breakfast was so good. The bed and pillows where so comfy. Room was a good size and stayed cool. The bath tub and shower was really nice at night after our long days.

The hallway walk from our car to room being a long one was very annoying to walk past garbage outside the rooms was really horrible especially for the price.

This was our second visit to Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass, the first was in 2022, just after COVID, when many activities were closed. Returning this time was an entirely different experience. Everything was open and thriving, and the resort exceeded our expectations in every way. Dinner: Ko’Sin was an absolute highlight. We sampled a variety of appetizers and entrées, but the Honey Nut Squash Fritters and the BBQ Shrimp with Pork Belly Gaivsa truly stood out for me. The fritters were perfectly crisp with a delicate sweetness, while the pork belly was rich, tender, and full of flavor, both dishes beautifully showcased the chef’s creativity and attention to detail. Breakfast: Equally impressive! I preferred the à la carte option over the buffet. The Desert Bloom Breakfast Bowl, featuring Brown Rice, Quinoa, Wheat Berries, and native Tepary Beans, was both healthy and delicious, a standout choice for a nourishing start to the day. Service: Impeccable throughout the property. From Ko’Sin to the lobby bar and even Starbucks, every staff member was warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. I also had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Menon, the Director of Operations. He was exceptionally professional and approachable, taking time to personally check in on our experience. Our conversation reflected his deep commitment to guest satisfaction and the resort’s cultural heritage, which truly elevated the sense of hospitality. Activities & Cultural Experience: One of the most unforgettable moments was attending the “Stories and Song: Echoes of Our Ancestors” event at the Akimel Island Cultural Village, held by the outdoor fire pit. Members of the Gila River Indian Community shared personal stories about tribal life and cultural heritage, creating a deeply immersive and educational experience. We ended the evening roasting marshmallows, a perfect touch. The Sheraton Adventure Club was also a hit with the kids, offering mini rock climbing, arts and crafts, and more, all under the care of attentive staff. Each evening from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM, the resort hosts a gathering in the main lobby on the 3rd floor, a toast paired with a brief cultural highlight and beverage tasting. During this experience, we learned about the stunning mural that adorns the space. Created by artist Mike Medicine Horse Zillioux, the mural is a breathtaking 10 panel domed design depicting aspects of the Gila River Indian Community’s heritage, including pottery making and basket weaving. It’s not just art, it’s a tribute to the traditions and stories of the Akimel O’otham and Pee Posh people, beautifully honoring the local Native American culture. Kudos to the team member who explained the mural so eloquently and passionately, it made the experience truly memorable. Pool: The pool area was stunning, especially at sunset. The water was pristine and perfectly warm, making it an ideal spot to relax. Overall: This stay combined luxury, culture, and family friendly activities in a way few resorts can. Highly recommend Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass for anyone seeking a unique and enriching experience.

We were absolutely delighted with our stay at the Sheraton. The hotel is beautiful, and the kindness and professionalism of the entire staff truly made our experience special. I’m sure I may be unintentionally missing someone, because everyone was so attentive, but we would especially like to mention Jacob on the last day of our stay at the buffet restaurant — the food was excellent and his service made it even better. We also want to thank Steven and Micah for their great attention, as well as a young lady who spoke Spanish very well and kindly helped my mother on several occasions. Without a doubt, the reception staff and the valet entrance team were also outstanding — always welcoming, helpful, and warm. The property itself is stunning, and we definitely feel we didn’t have enough time to explore it fully. That said, we are absolutely sure we will be back. Thank you to everyone for making our stay so memorable.

I have never met so many helpful and kind employees at one business. Absolutely everyone seemed happy to be there and eager to be of assistance. Bravo to your HR team for finding stellar employees.

Staff is amazing and service top end. Was busy,however it seemed very smooth visit. Bar staff took care of all our needs...Stephanie and Alex and Jessica made it seem very personal. Although weather was a bit off they still accommodating by firing up outside fireplace to enjoy the evening outside

This place is in a gorgeous location, still close to other areas you may want to visit. We checked in, beautiful room, gorgeous view of the mountains and property (highly recommend getting a room with the view), food and drinks were good, and the service was amazing. There were some reviews about it being dated-while it’s an older hotel, it’s kept up well and they pay attention to detail throughout. Every single team member was attentive, pleasant, and kind. We needed our mini fridge looked at and maintenance was amazing and right there quickly! It turns out, it was just not plugged in ooopf! The team even helped with some last minute spa requests-and while I’m at it, THAT SPA WAS AMAZING!!!! Like, insane. Valerie and Tim and the rest of the entire team made it so special. We travel a ton in and out of the country, and this was maybe our first trip that I actually truly relaxed and recharged. Thank you to this team!

This was a great hotel. Did I enjoy walking a full mile to get from my room to the conference center? Not really. But it was pretty, has great amenities, and the staff can’t be beat. Kobie checked me in at about 1am…you know that most of the time hotel staff at that hour are pretty subdued. It’s late. He was friendly, funny, and brought me a sandwich after I said I’d had travel delays all day and asked about a vending machine. Very much appreciated and unexpected. Would definitely return.
