"great stay, no complaints, appreciated the seclusion and quiet"

10.0

Not many people and plenty of space to feel secluded which we love. Overall our stay was wonderfully relaxing. I'm guessing the occupancy of this resort was about 35-45% during our midweek stay 12/2 to 12/5. It was just after thanksgiving. WE LIKED: 1. THE BEACH, while it is not a walking beach being only about 250 yards long there was plenty of space and available beach recliners to feel private. We stayed out late after sunset (5pm) for several hours enjoying the dark skies, warm air, boats, and sound of the waves. 2. THE WATER was warm unlike Hawaii or California coast. If you like swimming, the water is calm. The ocean floor had a few rocks/boulders close to the beach but the rest was mostly sand with a few plants. 3. THE POOL was great. The deep end was 8ft and much larger than a normal hotel pool. People did congregate at the pool bar and spent a good amount of time chatting it up there. The pool bar closes at 7pm. 4. THE ROOM with a kitchen was clean, modern, and comfortable but there was minimal space to do much food prep other than the basics. Two burner stove, no dishwasher, coffee and toaster stowed over the good size refrigerator, plenty of glassware/dishes/pans/silverware. 5. RESTAURANT, very good food and the seating was on the deck overlooking the ocean. Didn't care for the music playing at times and depending on where you sit it was a bit loud. 6. INTERNET AVAILABILITY was good even on the beach we got wifi. WHAT WE DID NOT LIKE: This is hard as mostly our visit was enjoyable. 1. PRICES, be prepared for some price shock on St. Thomas for everything from restaurant to groceries. I ordered a few alcoholic drinks at dinner and noticed they were $36 each. Our two-person meal, nothing elaborate other than 3 or 4 drinks came to $200. 2. DRIVING, we rented a car and it was a stressful experience driving the roads there. First, you drive on opposite side of the road (from the USA), second there are many steep, blind corners making us want to skip driving if we could. 3. THE WILD ANIMALS, while we didn't find the wild chickens and iguanas to be a problem, (actually found them cute) some people might find them annoying or unsanitary as the animals look for food handouts. Animals are very tame. 4. MINIMALISTIC AMENITIES. If you're looking for paddle boats, kayaks, a snorkeling beach or other "fun" distractions you'll have to drive elsewhere or book an excursion. This wasn't a big deal for us. 5. Things close down around 10pm. The pool bar closes at 7pm. I would have liked to be able to pool swim and use the workout room later at night. But I could see for security reasons it made sense. 6. Cell phone reception was poor. We had almost none (At&t) during our stay, however if we moved up closer to the road and even in some areas around the property we were able to get reception. Other Suggestions: For a great Grocery store. Moe's Fresh Market at Redhook. Many of the smaller "grocery" stores on google maps were simply gas stations with not much selection. Use bug repellant on the beach and watch out for sand flees or other biting insects. I had no problem, but my wife received a number of itchy bites.

"Nice and quiet resort with a good beach"

10.0

My husband went to St Thomas for our anniversary without our kids. We needed a relaxing place and weren’t looking for all-inclusive. LimeTree was perfect. There was a very nice little beach with some great snorkeling that we enjoyed daily. Not a ton of events going on inside the resort, but we wanted to explore the island so that was fine. The room was clean and comfortable and the one small issue we had with the coffee pot was fixed super quick. The gym was clean and always empty. The restaurant on-site was pretty nice with a great view and according to the bartender is not owned by the resort, so when the power in our part of the island went down the resort generators took care of the rooms but the restaurant was not. According to some locals the brown outs are not uncommon on St Thomas so it wasn’t anything wrong with the resort. Overall it was a great trip and we will go back.

"Not what I though"

4.0

Security guard at booth didn’t not check. Didn’t see any security roaming the property. At check in, greeting was at best average (Margaritville in Puerto Rico was the best). Parking is not that good. Little to no activities. Great views for sunrise and sunsets. Spent $30 on daiquiri- horrible (put them in the trash). Carpet in the room needs to be replaced or replace with tile. Showers not hot. Greetings at front desk was average at best (margaritville in Puerto rico is the best). You are charged another $50 a day on top of what you already paid for the room.

Great pool, and beach. Exterior of resort is dated. A lot of steps from room to pool and beach. Inside was updated however we felt the steps in the unit were dangerous. Also, had puddles of water outside of unit for entire time of stay. Parking not favorable

The property was well laid out. I enjoyed the walk-out beach access that my room offered. My only negatives would be the food at the restaurant and the lack of parking. I ordered a NY strip and shrimp plate. The demi glaze sauce was TOO salty and made the steak inedible and the shrimp were charbroiled to a blackened state for a dish that was not blackened. To improve customer service, I would recommend daily housekeeping service rather than the COVID schedule that many facilities have adopted. People want to be unencumbered with worrying about making beds, clean linens, towels and trash attracting ants. Overall, a very nice resort. I would return.

"Gracious Conversation & Beautiful spirit!!"

The resort and all the staff are incredibly friendly, gracious and knowledgeable. My favorite encounter was with Hutch. His words of wisdom, positivity, and inspiration are sincerely appreciated! With a kind heart & energy that is resonating with me long after my departure. Thank you for being such a wonderful person. All the best until next time!! ☺️

"Limetree Wyndham St. Thomas USVI"

10.0

I truly enjoyed my stay. Fortunate to receive an upgrade to one bedroom. Maintanence of grounds and if you need something just ask. Unit had a kitchen and I needed an additional pan. One & half baths with sleeper sofa. View of the ocean from the windows even the lowest level. People enjoyed the pool bar. Lanai restaurant (very good food and bartenders) on the property. Parking near unit. Tennis court, laundry, gym and small sundry store with a variety for last minute things.

The privacy was awesome. The beach was amazing and the location of our room was literally steps from the beach. What i didnt like was without a rental it sucks. The staff should make it known how important a rental car is. They have very limited options for food. The market on the property sucks and is super expensive. The one and only place to eat opens at 10am so early breakfast is out the window. Their menu sucked. You end up spending hundreds of dollars on taxi's. The pool bar closes at 6pm...it was a beautiful resort but definitely many disappointments

The door to the room as well as the exterior entrance leading to the door could use updating. The room itself could use updating/cleaning as well.

"Nice clean resort"

10.0

Beautiful tucked away resort. Every room has an ocean view. Small but beautifully manicured grounds. Lovely pool and nice beach with very little seaweed. Snorkeling on either side on the beach. Great sunset view from the restaurant. Be sure to use bug spray. The sand fleas and mosquitoes were vicious. Will stay here again.
