"Lovely place to stay"

9.0

I love the location of the hotel as it's very close to the Sugar Loaf and Powerscourt Waterfall and also close to Bray and Greystones. The beds are super comfy and we got a lovely room. The pool and gym are very nice and we especially enjoyed the brand new hot tub and steam room. There's lovely space around the hotel and we enjoyed walking around the gardens. We ate in the bar on Saturday evening and the food was delicious, as was the coffee we got on Sunday morning from the bar.

The dinner in the bar was delicious (we got the oriental chicken) but the dessert was not for us (the strawberry and mint cheesecake). More selection at breakfast would be nice also

"Wonderful and welcoming hotel!"

10.0

This was my second stay at the Glenview Hotel and once again I had a wonderful experience. The hotel is set in a beautiful location with stunning views, and it provided the perfect place to relax during a busy week. What made my stay particularly memorable, however, was the kindness and professionalism of the staff. I would especially like to thank Lorenzo and Maya on Reception, who both went out of their way to help me. Lorenzo, in particular, truly saved the day on one occasion, and I am very grateful for his assistance. Their warmth, efficiency and genuine care made a real difference to my stay. Thank you to everyone at the Glenview for such a welcoming experience. I very much look forward to returning in the future.

"Lovely setting but drab and lacking atmosphere"

6.0

Wonderful setting with beautiful views out across the Glen. On entering the hotel I thought it lacked atmosphere although we were checked in by a lovely friendly receptionist. Our rooms were spacious and bright and beds were very comfortable. We had dinner in the hotel first night and found it disappointing and thought the menu boring.the service was good and staff very helpful. We sat in the conservatory beside the bar and enjoyed the view. We weren’t enticed into the room adjoining the bar which drab, dark and badly in need of bright touches from paint through to furniture. Breakfast was another disappointment, we chose the vegan option which was described as ‘ seasonal vegetables’ it was inedible as the few vegetables were mushy and covered in a hot spice. To be fair other breakfast options looked fine. The leisure centre is very nice and again staff are lovely! I went to my room to blow dry my hair after my swim but due to woeful lack of sockets I could not style it near a mirror which was extremely annoying. This is a four star hotel I expected better.

"One Night Getaway"

10.0

What a beautiful gem of a place tucked away in the Witlow forest. Amazing Irish breakfast and outstanding staff. Beautiful views from the rooms either facing the fantastic forest or out back watching the sheep graze! The staff are really what makes this place!

"wonderful experience"

10.0

I just thought I would take the opportunity to give feedback on this occasion. I have stayed at the Glenview over the years, the last time a number of years ago was not so positive. I am very happy to say that this has definitely changed and I had a wonderful experience on my visit. Your staff are a credit to you, right from check in to service to your kitchen. The Chef definitely deserves a call out- outstanding. The rooms and balconies have all been renovated and updated which really added a nice touch. Due to all of this I will and am already in the process of booking my next visit Thank you and well done to all.

"Nice place to stay, a cosy get away. Would go back."

7.0

Pool is nice and restaurant views are good. The walks around grounds are nice too. Our room was clean and comfy and staff were lovely.

We were told we could not book woodlands restaurant on phone then on arrival we were rushed in as they said they were closing but other people came in after us. The surf and turf platter for 2 was overpriced and looked like bar food. The outside hot tub didn’t work.

"Not worth staying here since it added so much stress to our honeymoon."

1.0

The staff were pleasant, the room was warm, the buffet was nice, the walks were scenic.

DO NOT STAY AT THE GLENVIEW HOTEL - PROPERTY TAKEN FROM ROOM We stayed here for a few nights in early April for our honeymoon. On the day of our departure, I noticed that a bag with 250 Euros worth of gifts was missing. The Glenview reviewed CCTV and confirmed that the gift bag entered the hotel and we did not leave with it at any point. The CCTV footage also showed that the only other people entering our room during our stay were the Glenview cleaners. The Glenview is refusing to take responsibility, saying that the cleaners can’t be seen carrying the bag away and therefore they do not need to do anything. If it wasn’t us or anyone else, who took our stuff? Do not stay here unless you can zip tie your property to the bed!
