Occidental Punta Cana - All Inclusive

Food and hotel room to be improved. I got diarrhea and my kids got mosquito bites and flea bites in the room. My husband fell down in the pool and got scratches on his back bc it was very slippery. But overall the beach view was fabulous and the pool was so fun! We had a great time at Occidental!

Breakfast was great every morning. We would also eat lunch often and makes me want to come back. Thank you Hipo and entire staff.

I had a great experience staying at Occidental Punta Cana. The resort is well maintained, the grounds are beautiful, and the overall atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing. The staff consistently demonstrated professionalism and a strong commitment to guest satisfaction, which truly enhanced the stay. I would especially like to recognize Ricardo Sanchez, who was an amazing and extremely helpful staff member. His professionalism, attentiveness, and friendly attitude made a noticeable difference throughout my visit. He went above and beyond to ensure everything was taken care of and that guests felt comfortable and well supported.

Our overall experience this time around at the Occidental Punta Cana resort was a disappointment in comparison to past trips. Not all but a few of the female staff members exuded poor customer service especially the younger ones. The entire staff at all the fine dining restaurants were exceptional. The beach bar tenders were great. The food at the buffets C- at best. As with every return trip to the resort they attempt a sales pitch disguised as a conversation to learn about new benefits. By day three a rep actually came clean and pretty much stated as part of his job he just had to ask us if we were interested which we declined. They are really out of touch with the declining appeal of their experience. The beach and friends are still beautiful but the service and food make this a one and done.

The supervisor of security at the Occidental Punta Cana is extremely off and seems to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs while at work. He physically assaulted me while I was explaining that I had 3 rooms reserved. He is very violent and seems to be drunk. He should not be dealing with people
