Reviews online implied there was an oceanview however its limited to the hotel

Amazing view, super clean room, amazing food and super friendly staff.

Highly recommended for location and facilities. The hotel has a long history which gives it an elegant appeal.

We were transfered to apartments remote from the hotel with only walking access down narrow lane no use of taxi. .Staff were helpful and polite at all times. Room and common areas very clean. Aircon and fan worked well. Unfortunately my wife sustained a back injury on a terribly potholed road from our last venue and the apartments have no ground floor and no lifts. Neither does the main hotel. Our room had no chairs, cups or glasses. The common area includes a kitchen but with no cooking utensil. A small amount of coffee and powdered milk was supplied each morning which disappeared early without top up. There is a washing machine which one of the guests decided to use at midnight and finallied with a long spin. The beach location is good, food was good and fair priced but I did suffer gastro from food poisoning and sick for three days. Management supplied me with suitable medication however which did help. Breakfasts were ample and menue varied but do not expect full English. If you need a two or three night stop over this is good value for money but if you have knee or hip problems stay clear of the apartments

Amazing amazing amazing. Nearly everyone speaks English, breakfast is amazing. Right on the ocean, easy ride to islands. Rooms are AC and refrigerator too. Large bathrooms. Cannot wait to come back! $15 taxi from/to airport. Walk to markets, right in Stone Town. Restaurant on site also

WiFi was terrible and heard many guest complaining during checkout. Had to use my cell phone hotspot for internet access most times over the weekend. Room was across the street from the beach and was “lackluster” compared to photos. Overall acceptable but WiFi a critical must in this day/age.

Excellent experience, friendly staff, breakfast with a view. Highly recommend for couples and families with fair budget.

Staff were very helpful and the rooms were very clean clean, spacious and quiet. I struggled with internet connectivity however which was possible due to me not staying in the main house. If you need internet connectivity in your room, I recommend you let the staff know so you are not put into a room with a weak signal.
