River Hills Hotel- Mankato

Housekeeping needs to do much better. No toilet paper besides s half used roll. Landscaping looked unkempt. Pillow and pillowcase had a very noticeable fresh stain. Finally the front desk help was never at the front desk. You always had to dial 0 on the phone to get them to the desk. This isn't a complaint about them, but about the owners who don't seem to hire enough people to properly staff. We need to get past the, "We're just not going to clean as much now. Deal with it!" attitude that took over during COVID. If you want 5 stars I need my room clean and stocked.

Early check-in

The room not clean at all..hair all over the bathroom facilities...there was ick on the walls...not very happy about this and would have found different hotel if they all were not booked...ive tried several times to attach pictures but it will not let me...I suppose its on account that this is a bad review...I think ill have to try to stop payment

Great room and breakfast. Convenient location

Staff is amazing & friendly helpful, location great near so many things, shopping, hiking, water, entertainment. Rooms was clean comfortable and appointed well with kitchen, bedreom, livingroom with clicl clack sofa. Breakfast was delicious coffee always avaliable.

The place was so run down and not even 10 minutes into the stay I had a bug on my bed. I came down to cancxell my stay and they still wanted to charge me for one of two days. The place was awful.

Was nicely decorated Lobby & Breafast area. Size of the room was good. Comfortable bed. Meet our need for one night stay.

Our room smelled of smoke in a non-smoking room. We were there for a concert so didn't have time to switch rooms. Open windows and ran fan above the microwave. When we got back luckily it air out. Otherwise, things were clean. Were put by a room that was being rent out for along stay by a family. You could tell they were living there whether they were illegals or homeless they left the door open and the room was trashed. Front of hotel looks run down. Patio furniture damaged.

Location, breakfast, clean

We booked a room with two queens and a full bath. We got a call asking us to switch to a comparable room with one queen. The price would not change. The room was actually one to accommodate special needs guests. The bathroom was large but no vanity and only a shower with a curtain that didn’t reach the floor. Water overflowed all over the floor for a mess and a slip hazard. Also no hair dryer even though listed on the amenities. I discussed with the front desk but offered no compensation.

The room was exceptionally clean with a kitchenette. Courteous staff and cozy rooms. The room setup was ideal for a family getaway. .

The complimentary breakfast was great, although we seemed to have missed most of it, as there was a team of young baseball players who had visited, so it was expected.
