Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Kerrville by IHG

The wife and I stayed at three Holiday Express on this vacation to Colorado. It’s a very long drive from Weslaco, Texas to Evergreen Colorado, so it is necessary to spend a night or two on the road. Very exhausted on our way back home ,we stopped in Kerrville, tx and the front desk was very accommodating. I’m physically challenged,do to a maximum occupancy. They were out of luggage carts but the maintenance leader John Wayne was nice enough to find us a cart so we could get our bags to the room. The facility was vary well kept. When you very tired , the last thing you want to deal with is a room that has maintenance is issues,this room very good, no issues,this was the best hotel we stayed at.l,

Air conditioner was not working right for 2 days humid in the room and I notified when I checked out but the response was just sorry. Will not stay there again...

We have stayed at this hotel several times. The rooms are spacious and clean. Staff is helpful and nice. Problems are with management I believe. Guest clothes dryer was broke and has been for a while. The TV’s are small and the audio reverberates making it difficult to listen to at times. The ice machine on our floor was broken. The carpet was dirty and needs to be replaced. This hotel can be super but it needs to be refreshed and have things working! Nothing says I don’t care like broken things that are not fixed. New TVs should happen, they aren’t that expensive. I thought IHG required franchisees to do refreshes every so often. Where are they?

This is a good hotel overall. The check in was quick and easy and parking was easy to find. The front desk people are very nice and helpful. The room is rather large and had plenty of room. We had the two queen beds and there was a chair as well. It was large for a double queen room. The beds are comfy and the sheets are soft as mentioned in a previous review. Each bed only had 2 pillows but the front desk brought 2 more when I requested them. They came with firm pillows and the front desk brought soft pillows. The AC is on the wall and the controls are there too. Keep that in mind as many Holiday Inn's have controls on the wall now and that way you aren't looking around the room for it. The AC takes a while to cool down the room even on high fan. The carpet was soft and it had a large TV with the channels in alphabetical order (more hotels need to do this). The bathroom was clean and the soaps that came with it, were nice. I wish the shower had better pressure though. Plus the shower head is only 5 foot 8 feet high which makes showering a bit harder than one would expect. We were on the second floor. I heard no hallway noise but I could hear the room above us walking around. It sounded like they were stomping around but from other reviewers this just seems to be how it is. That was much louder than I expected. There was no road noise since the hotel is located a ways back off Highway 87. The breakfast was nice with omlettes, sausages, biscuits, and cereals. I liked it and they kept it well stocked. The room has a Keurig which is very nice. There is also coffee in the front area that is always available. Check out is at noon. We were going to stay in Fredericksburg but there were no hotels and the location is 20 minutes away and much more affordable than Fredericksburg. Being off Highway 87 and I-10 puts it in an easy to get to location.

Stopped in late without a reservation and the hotel was clean, staff very nice and a short distance off I-10. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in or passing through the area. Complimentary breakfast was standard hot/cold variety. Free parking and pool too. I was impressed by the large room in our king bedded room. But was I loved best was how soft the sheets were, they were butter soft! Forgot to check the tags on them…maybe the hotel will let me know the brand or where I can purchase some just like them!

Centrally located. Breakfast was awesome and staff was courteous.

I’m sorry but The mattress was a little too old.

Despite being very close to the interstate, the room was very quiet. I had lots of space, and a nice porch overlooking the pool. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The entrance is a bit hard to spot - the hotel is set back from the road. I would definitely stay here again.
