Hilton Garden Inn Kansas City/Kansas

There was a used wash rag hidden behind the shampoo bottles that was super dirty. It was really gross and when I left there was nobody at the front desk. Absolutely disgusting

Our room did not have adequate curtains to block out any light or provide complete privacy. The bathroom also was not stocked with shampoo as the bottles were not refilled. The lobby was clean. The room was clean and big.

The hotel checked us out of one of our rooms for no reason. When I messaged to ask why, they said it looked like we were only using one of our rooms. I assured them we had been using both rooms so she said she would check me back in. They ended up double charging us for our rooms, so we had to spend time going back to the hotel after check out to get that issue fixed. The rooms weren’t too bad. Beds looked clean, and bathroom was clean EXCEPT the bathroom vent had mold all over it.

Our bed looked slept in, there was a used rubber glove in the bathroom, and an old French fry on the floor. Night staff was not friendly checking in when stating we reserved 2 rooms through Expedia when our receipt clearly said one.

I am not familiar with the area. When I checked in, the front desk did not tell me that parking needed to be paid when arriving or your vehicle can be towed. I thought there would be a ticket system where you paid when you left but that is NOT the case.

Our room wasn't ready at check-in. However, the front desk staff were incredible kind. They sent someone to clean the room as soon as we arrived. We parked in the secure parking area and fifteen minutes later we were in our Junior Suite. The bedding was freshly laundered, the bathroom was clean and adequately stocked. It was quiet, comfortable, and less than a 10 minute Lyft to the T-Mobile Center. Great place to stay.

That I paid for breakfast to be added on to my room not knowing they don’t start until 7 AM and having cheer competitions at seven did not work out and I was not able to get that portion of my money back

We were stuck outside our room for hours because the batteries in the RFID door card reader were dead.

We stay here once a year and always a good experience. Fast, friendly staff and clean, quiet rooms.

Close to venue

Potentially unsafe area. Pay for parking. Door malfunctioning to room. Had to leave personal belongings as maintenance was unable to open the door. Maintenance advised it is a known issue but has not repaired it. Breakfast $12.00 per person, food was mediocre at best.
