Knights Inn South Hackensack

I liked the price. The cleaning is ok however the hotel has cockroaches and bedbugs. The internet was awful that I had to go to Wendy’s or stay in the extremely tight lobby in the middle of the night to use the internet. Other guests also said they have been coming to the hotel for 4 years and the internet never worked. The breakfast was not good. The hotel was frequented by guest prostitutes and drug dealers. The police was always present at the hotel.

The stairwell area smelled like urine. The room condition was ok to sleep but you get what you pay for.

So the only good thing I can mention about this place is the shower. It had decent water pressure and was clean. Now the bad: no deadbolt lock, no chain lock, burn marks on desk, dresser and carpet. Carpet felt grungy. All of the wood stands were damaged and beat up. Desk chair was broken and almost bent in half. Outlet by the sink didn’t work. A plastic bag was over the fire alarm, I guess someone wanted to smoke in there and didn’t want it to go off? Bathroom door would not shut at all. Non smoking room that smelled like smoke really bad. This is the worst hotel I’ve stayed at. I’ve stayed in a couple different hotels in North Bergen, they were WAY better than this. Was charged about $95 per night. Not worth it.

Cleanness big issue, I even was not sure if mattress and pillow sheet was washed. Hotel location is great, comfortable but has very big negative points.

Terrible experience! I payed online but when i got to this place the front desk person tried to charge me again until i reminded him the room was already paid for. The area you check in at is also the continental breakfast area but good luck eating there it smelled just like urine. The hotel guests obviously live there and were loud and hanging out in the parking lot in groups ! The hotel room was atrocious! I didn’t sleep a wink that night but we couldn’t afford to leave.

The room we were checked into had a stain on the sheet. We lifted the sheet and the stain was all the way to the mattress cover. I went to the hotel office, told them abd their response was so what do you want us to do. That was their attitude. We were given a new non smoking room. There was a lighted match on the floor

if your expectance is a clean, quiet and comfortable room, this is it. wifi works properly. park your car in front of your room. but for extras, you should look for something else.
