Castlerosse Park Resort

Service, location, scenery, facilities, meals, everything was superb. Only thing I would say is that our family room had no storage to put our stuff (and we are 4). Also, no fridge in the room (although we took the family package that includes breakfast and dinner). But this is nothing comparing with the unmatched service and dreamy place for all of us. Irish are so easy going!

No connection or available in the room due to low connectivity. TV was not a smart TV so very limited channels available. Rooms can also be more upgraded.

Many of our family stayed at the Castlerosse Hotel & Spa recently. The hotel is set in beautiful grounds a short distance outside of Killarney town. The staff throughout were friendly and courteous, and our rooms were clean and spacious. The food served in the restaurant was delicious with a wide and varied menu and an excellent breakfast served each morning. There are many areas in the hotel to sit and relax while Mulligan’s Bar with stunning views across the lake and golf course has an excellent menu for guests not wanting a four course meal. We had young children with us who loved the kids club and the staff there, where they were entertained and had their evening meal while us adults were able to eat and relax in the restaurant. We all immensely enjoyed our stay at The Castlerosse and hopefully will return there to have a great holiday again in the not too distant future.

This was a most comfortable Hitel. Emwe booked at the last minute fir 2 nights. Although there were plenty in the the Hotel our room was completely quiet which was great. Views were lovely and food great.

We were a family group of 30 ages 3 - 70. My family - kids and grandkids - stayed at the Kenmare House. This is a beautiful manor home with nice gardens and a view of Killarney national park and lake. It was perfect for our family. The rest of our group stayed in the golf lodges on the resort. We planned an all-group dinner at the Castlerosse restaurant and they food and service were excellent.

The Castlerosse Park Resort is a beautiful resort nestled in the middle of Killarney national park. My husband and I and our two children spent two nights and the accommodations were perfect as they even had a rollaway bed set up for my son the resort offers bike rentals, which were perfect to ride all the different bike trails around Killarney, some as to which even led you into the main street of downtown and to close tourist sites like Ross Castle and Mike Ross Abbey. Killarney riding stables is located right across the street from the resort which was super convenient as we made reservations for horseback riding throughout the national park. Overall, the resort was amazing and very welcoming! I had asked the front desk if they would do something special for my daughter‘s birthday and they happily agreed. Leaving her a sweet note and a beautiful box of chocolates in our room to be surprised with. Everything about this resort and this special town is mesmerizing, and our whole experience was truly magical.

Stayed with my wife and our 7 month old in a holiday home for 3 nights. The hotel is in a fabulous location, close to Killarney town and national park - and boasts truly phenomenal views of the lakes and mountains. The Good: Bar staff, bar food and bar views were brilliant. Big shout out to Tim in Mulligans bar who was probably the most attentive and accommodative manager I've ever seen (and I worked in hospitality for years). Tim was excellent - and the food was too. The bad holiday homes were in need of uplift. Many of the heaters did not function, meaning the house was quite cold on windy evenings (even in July). It was disappointing to show up to a place where clearly staff had cleaned , and either didn't bother to check if the heat was working - or didn't care. Breakfast staff were seemed disinterested and incompetent. The breakfast hall was half empty, and yet they put my wife and I with our baby at a small two person table in the middle of the floor. We had to ask to be seated at a larger table with more room - simple. Also, no condiments available on one of the mornings - had to ask staff from kitchen to give us ketchup - another basic thing. It's funny that little things which hotels overlook and don't pay attention to make a big difference to guest experiences. It just betrays a lack of interest of attention to detail. On another note, the manager welcoming people into the breakfast hall looked like he'd rather be anywhere else - not even a faint smile , eye contact or remote interest. Clearly more concerned with keeping a larger group of tourists happy - rather than catering equally for all patrons. This is in stark contrast to Tim in Milligan's bar who was run off his feet but kept every table happy and went out of his way to ensure every customer was attended to and made feel welcome.

This was our 5th time to stay at the Castlerosse and as always we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room we were given this time was like a suite with its own sitting room. The room had 2 large flat screen TVs. I used the pool every morning and the whole pool area and changing rooms were very clean and well run. We had breakfast each morning and ate dinner 2 nights in the restaurant. As always the staff in the restaurant were lovely. the views and walking trails are so good.

We stayed 3 nights in a holiday home and it was beautiful, very comfortable, spacious and immaculately clean. The kids loved it. We are definitely coming back!!

We stayed 4 nights in the Castleross Resort Cottages on the edge of the National Park. The cottages were an excellent choice - lots of room in two cottages for our 3 generation family of 8. Since we did not rent a car we walked everywhere - well marked paths led to Killarney town, a market with all the essentials was about a km away. Hiking trails very accessible with an excellent play ground and even a cafe for tea, coffee and bakery. Castleross staff members were so personable and welcoming throughout our stay. We ate our main meal in the pub restaurant and each night we were seated at a table for 8 with a fantastic view of the lakes and mountains. Our servers were so conscientious and spoiled the grandchildren with their attention to detail. For a family traveling to Killarney Castleross Resort is the perfect location!
