Castlerosse Park Resort

What can I say only AMAZING! Kathryn in reception was incredibly welcoming and attentive nothing was too much for her as well as other staff of the hotel. We have a child with special needs who loves this hotel and it’s easy to see why. The pool the playground and the breakfast was unbeatable. They go above and beyond to ensure you enjoy every minute of your stay. We can’t wait to come back again. Thank you again Kathryn for everything

The great: Location, 2k to Fossa, 2k to Killarney. Very attractive low rise hotel. On the Fossa Way. The stunning views from the bedroom, the bar and the restaurant. The bedroom. The beds. The lovely lady who did the daily room cleaning, The many walks from the hotel. More than one beautiful walkway into Killarney Town. Reception staff Michelle and Orla. The heat in the bedroom, thank you. The not as great: Get a few games for residents. There were none at reception. Charity shops are full of adult and child games for a few euros. Pool, steam room and jacuzzi need to be upgraded to modern standards. Breakfast managers just doing their job, no more. More personality and customer focus needed. Breakfast good but nothing special, particularly for vegetarians. No fresh blueberries, raspberries, strawberries etc. There was fresh melon and watermelon but sad looking tinned grapefruit. Worst of all was the porridge. It was lifeless, thin, too watery, possibly overcooked. It's not difficult to make porridge. I said it to the manager on duty each morning, but nothing changed. I mentioned it to one of the staff who told me he makes porridge every day, but never eats the hotel porridge.

As a family we stayed at The Castlerosse Golf Lodges for a number of days in April. The reservation and check-in cannot be faulted. Bridget has been so helpful. The location is unbelievable. Fantastic view of the lake and beautiful walks adjacent to the resort. However the golf lodges are getting old and are in need of refurbishment. Correspondence from The Resort mention children’s camps, but the children’s playground needs some work also. You can park your car and not have to drive for the length of your stay unless you want some decent food. The food in the restaurant is poor. The fish and chips are the worse I have seen for a long time. I have reduced the rating from 5 stars to 4 stars not because of the playground or the tired looking accommodation but because of the bar food.

Great location and the view from the hotel was spectacular. The room was clean and we had the right number of beds for a family of 4 which made us all comfortable. The breakfast offerings were adequate but the dinner menu exceeded our expectations. The main courses, especially the duck and the lamb, were cooked to perfection. Special thanks to Beatriz in the dining room for the excellent service she provided to our family during our stay. Overall, it was great value for money and a good place to stay if you're visiting the tourist spots in County Kerry.

Lovely friendly staff. The hotel had beautiful grounds and stunning views of the lake and mountains. We did a long walk along the estate through beautiful woodland, even saw some wild deer! We had dinner in the bar as we didn't fancy the restaurant. The food was okay, wasn't anything hugely special. Mocktails were delicious. Great bit of live traditional music in the evening. Room was very comfortable, beds were lovely and soft. Room wasn't too hot or cold. It was so quiet too! No screaming kids or banging doors. We didn't get round to using the pool facilities but we were told it was strictly kid free in the evenings which would be a huge bonus. Breakfast in the upstairs restaurant room was divine, lots of choice and all freshly prepared. Hot buffet was delicious. Beautiful views of the mountains.

Stayed 3 nights for St. Patricks weekend, we got an excellent deal of 3 nights B+B plus 2 evening meals. Room was lovely, had everything we needed, staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Really good breakfast, Restaurant & Bar had lovely views of the lakes. Leisure Centre and Pool was really good also, we hired bikes from the leisure centre (really good value) and cycled around the lake.

We stayed in a golf lodge and the place was spotless when we arrived . The bedrooms are very roomy and the beds super comfortable. The kitchen was equipped with everything you could need. It has a nice pool which the kids enjoyed we didn't use the gym . Any staff member that we met was friendly and very helpful the only thing they couldn't help with was the weather. We would definitely return.

Always love staying at the Castleross holiday homes , so warm and cosy, spotless clean with everyone need from a home away from home . We were allowed bring our doggie and was lovely Rhian dog friendly houses now have timber floors not carpet .definitely booking again next year .ideal location, right in the middle of kilarney national park

We had a wonderful experience. Perfect accommodation for our needs, beautiful location and great staff. This is a gem and a great place to rest up and to visit scenic Kerry, The town is lovely with some very good restaurants. In the hotel the leisure centre is fantastic. Can’t wait to return.

I booked one of the houses for my daughters confirmatio celebration. When they heard it was her confirmation, they automatically upgraded us to a golf lodge and left a lovely note and butlers chocolates for her. Thank you. So so cosy ideal location loads of space in the house stunning views great value we will be back.
