excellent location close to everything in FUNCHAL. Staff was lovely. The deadbolt on my door wasn’t working, which coming from the US and a city dweller was a bit unnerving at first, but I was assured nothing to worry about. Make sure if you get the breakfast included that you remind the waiter waitress that your breakfast is included so they give you a different menu. I loved the location. The room was comfortable plenty of room.

Really enjoyed my 5 night stay at Hotel Caju, the hotel is right in the centre of everything which was very handy! Will definitely recommend to anyone coming to Funchal for the first time.

There's no bar and the restaurant is only open till 4pm.

Very comfortable , quiet location . Very walkable to harbour, markets , gardens and many excellent restaurants.

Breakfast starting at 8 was a little late for us. 7:00 would be better
