Hotel Cajú

Great and very friendly front desk and restaurant staff. The à la carte breakfast was excellent. The location was central to everything we needed. Don’t miss the view the rooftop view of Funchal from the Vine.

The room was a bit small and the sliding bathroom door didn’t close. The offsite parking at The Vine Hotel was a bit confusing and the turns to get there require either a very small car or a driver experienced with very tight angles.

Staff in all areas (breakfast, cleaning the rooms, reception) were friendly, cheerful, ready to help with any questions. Very good breakfast choices. It was nice to be served at the table. The location in the middle of the old town is unbeatable. Many sights and lots of cafes and restaurants are within walking easy distance.

Be aware that the balconies are tiny and not usable for sitting outside. But with all the cafes with outside seating nearby, this is not an issue.
