It’s all about the location with this property. It’s on the doorstep to a very sandy beach. Unfortunately it was a little too sandy for us, in which I mean due to walking difficulties, we found it very difficult to walk through the very fine sand. And we couldn’t swim in the sea here as it was so steep. There was a lovely cafe nearby and a handy pub also within walking distance, which did a lovely Sunday lunch. There was a really good fan in the lounge that we had to carry up to the bedroom every day. And as it was so hot, we never got to use the lovely veranda overlooking the sea. But it was a fabulous view from the bedroom. It was reasonably clean although we did have to vacuum a ton of dead lady birds that had swarmed in on the day we moved in and also we had a load of slugs in the kitchen at night and snail trails to wipe up in the mornings. The Wi-Fi was very good and the tv channels were spot on. The grill to the oven didn’t work but we used the oven instead on the one occasion we cooked in but there was no extractor in the tiny kitchen so I wouldn’t have liked to cook much in there. The bed was very comfy. What was provided… There was salt and pepper grinders, some milk sachets (which didn’t have a date on so we never used), some teabags, coffee (similar to Nescafé I think but we never used), 4 coffee pods to fit the machine and a little sugar. There were 2 tea towels and plenty of dishwasher pods. There was washing up liquid and cleaning items. The downstairs loo had handwash and plenty of toilet rolls. The main bathroom had hand wash, shampoo, body wash and plenty of toilet rolls/towels. All in all, it was a lovely holiday, very relaxing and exactly what I needed after a recent operation and recovery. The surrounding areas offers so much to do and I’d highly recommend getting tickets to the Pavillion Theatre in Gorleston, we went to the Summertime show and it was really good. Also a Norfolk Broads boat trip from Wroxham was great.

We discovered dogs were not allowed upstairs. But as the stairs were so steep, our dog would not have managed it anyway. But we had to tie the door to the stair bannister to prevent our dog trying to get upstairs, in case she fell. There is a child gate at the top of the stairs but not at the bottom. It didn’t seem very dog friendly. We had already paid £75 for cleaning and £50 extra for a dog yet there was no dog bed or no useful dog bowls. (There was a really small dog dish and an outer cover for a dog bowl that had no inner). We vacuumed up after our dog everyday and the first day we vacuumed, the dog hairs we picked up didn’t belong to our dog. Our bed cover had one dodgy brown stain on it, which wasn’t very nice. But otherwise the bed linen/towels were quite nice and clean. It’s a shame there isn’t a visitors book and any local info to peruse but I suppose there’s Google these days. We wouldn’t go back to this particular place as it wasn’t very user friendly for us and we really struggled with the very steep stairs but I would recommend to others that can get around more easily. If you have children though, be careful of the steep stairs. And if you have dogs take beds, rugs and bowls and a belt for the stairs. The area in front of the property was used by all the locals as a place for their dogs to do their business. It was a little unnerving in the evening when you saw shadows of people just outside the window just standing there at all hours. But we did get talking to the neighbours next door who were very friendly and they apologised about the fact that their dog wouldn’t go to the toilet anywhere else!

Absolutely loved this house it was in a perfect location. Very clean , tidy, and first bedroom had a wonderful view of the beach. The beach being right outside your door was amazing . Had everything and more we needed. Highly recommend.

Nothing to not like

Fantastic location and great quality comfort.

Coat hooks needed, lots of them for wet coats and dog items to dry in the open plan room. Sea view balcony not dog friendly as upstairs through a bedroom.

Fantastic location - you can't get any closer to the beach! Fabulous views from the 1st and 2nd floors. Great working oven, plenty of instant hot water and great water pressure in the shower. Loved being able to step onto the beach in seconds and enjoy countless walks with the dog. Perfect place to relax.

Fridge is so very small it's hard if you bring food that requires refrigeration to fit in. Miss things like oven gloves, chopping board (didn't feel right to cut food on the surfaces) Also for long stays I miss having a washing machine. Attention to detail on ensuring crockery, cutlery and utensils are clean before guests arrive (you'd hope guests would clean as they go along but not everyone does!)

The location was fantastic - right on the beach. The accommodation was lovely and thoughtfully decorated throughout, lovely little touches like a xmas tree - thank you ! The hosts were very helpful and responded very quickly. Would stay again

These may seem a little picky - but the quilt in the main room was a little flat this may because we are used to feather and not fabric filled. Also there weren't any egg cups Apart from that it was wonderful

Proximity to the beach Beautifully presented, clean and fresh

The kitchen is very small but well equipped. As a couple we ate out so it didn’t matter.
