Marriott's Phuket Beach Club

This was our second visit to the vacation club here, in a 2 bedroom villa ( the only size of MVC accommodation available). When we visited last January I was quite unwell but despite this our memories were lovely so we wanted to try again. What can I say - its an amazing place with the most wonderful staff. The resort is beautiful and so clean and well maintained. The units are perfect for 2 couples or a family with kids. There is a Marriott hotel on site too which has advantages and disadvantages. The obvious advantages are the extra restaurants/ bars/ shops that come with the hotel. Disadvantages are that there may be corporate events/ weddings etc taking place limiting the use of some facilities at given times. However the resort is spacious with 3 large outdoor pools, plenty of seating areas and direct access to a beautiful beach with sea activities available and of course swimming in the lovely warm water. We have stayed in many MVC resorts in Europe and USA and this is one of the nicest. All the units have a terrace or balcony with table and chairs as well as cooking facilities and washers/ dryers ( NB this will not be the case with hotel rooms). As we like to cook our own food and eat on the terrace ( a luxury rarely afforded to uk residents!) we can’t rate the restaurants but we did use the sala sawadee cocktail bar every night and can thoroughly recommend. Live music most nights, amazing relaxed atmosphere and the friendliest staff ever. Special shout out to Jay, AE, Poon, Rose and Lee who looked after us so well and shared a bit of themselves too. Wonderful memories made and we hope to return again soon. Thank you.

The only thing is the location.It is far from everything in Phuket.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful resort that is co-located with the JW Marriott property. Exceptional service and amenities. Our 2 bedroom suite was spacious and had all amenities needed even to cook if you choose. We appreciated the commitment to eco-friendly practices including plenty of refillable water. The food at all restaurants we tried was great, and we appreciated tips to local restaurants- we especially liked Kin Dee (pro tip - they will deliver delicious take out on the Marriott ). We also discovered Yenjai, about a 10 minute taxi ride - delicious dishes prepared with fresh ingredients- call ahead. The fitness center and free classes were great and we appreciated the quiet, adults only pool to relax in. Fabulous staff made this a wonderful place to relax. .

Stayed here for 4D3N as a redemption for our USD99 MVCI membership welcome benefit. We were surprised that breakfast wasn't included, even for Platinum Elite and above members. As it was priced almost 1000thb for breakfast buffet, we didn't try it out. The vacation club rooms are huge; probably as large as most hotel suites. While well kept, unfortunately the resort and rooms are starting to show their age. The bathroom tiles in the master toilet for example have come loose, and some of the locking mechanisms of the beautiful wooden closets are stiff/unlubricated (needing a bit of force to shut them tightly). The low kerb for the standalone shower is poorly designed and allows alot of water to flow out. My guess is that the tiles at the shower area have been overlaid with a newer layer of similar looking tiles that is now almost the same height as the low kerb. The guest bathroom unfortunately only has a bathtub without a standing shower so that would be quite inconvenient for the 4 guests using it. The terracotta tiles in the living area and bedrooms are poorly soundproofed, as we could hear thundering footsteps of children running in the unit upstairs. I note that the 3 air conditioner controls are new, signalling a welcome update to the room, which I understand to be built in 2003. The plates and cutlery were of good quality. We were impressed that children high chair was available upon request. Perhaps a further improvement could be the plastic bowls, plates, utensils be provided when the check in staff notice we have 2 kids in tow? Only on our last night did we request for them, and was given kids amenities as well :D The kids club has lesser guided activities and also doesn't have an indoor playground, when compared to the vacation club in bali terrace. Its selling point would be the water sports center whereby sailing and kayaking activities are offered. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. We were pleasantly surprised to find they had helped us do the dishes during the room make up! Special shoutout to the effervescent Mr Roger who filled with so much joy and warmth. It's rare to find someone who enjoys his job and interacting with guests as much as he does! We appreciate the complimentary buggy ferrying service to cut down the 5-10 walks to and from the reception area. Ditto for the covered lorry shuttle that brings us to the boring (but only) amenities in the area at turtle village; hopefully the vehicle could we swapped for a newer or electric one that doesn't emit as much exhaust fumes. Pro tip: Fares for private hire rides (on Grab) were insanely high, being even more expensive than Singapore. We'd definitely rent a car instead as you'd almost break even on the daily rental if you take one return trip out of the resort. There's also only two 7-11s nearby which would mean u need to venture out further should you want to buy groceries to cook.

This was our second stay at the JW Marriott Resort Phuket, 8.5 years after our previous visit and it certainly didn’t disappoint! 😃 We were allocated room number 1431 and it was excellent. In the North Wing (quieter end of the resort) close to the quiet pool. The villa was immaculately clean and well stocked with bottled water, laundry detergents and bathroom amenities. Our room was kept spotlessly clean by Kim, Yuki and Elena. These members of the housekeeping team attended our room daily and presented towels and gifts throughout our stay - even decorating our room to celebrate my fiancées birthday! Staying at the Beach Club enables facilities at the hotel to be accessed and charges on the bars and restaurants to be made to your villa bill. The quiet pool was so relaxing and the service provided by Zen and Nong was outstanding. I haven’t experienced such attention from pool staff at any other resort, anywhere! These two guys are a credit to Marriott! Far at the M Beach Club and Goong at the Ginja Restaurant were also excellent. On the hotel reception JJ, Mercedes, Hitesh and Baron took exceptional care of us during our stay, including preparing a birthday card for my fiancée! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this resort as a top 5* destination!

Wonderful stay at Marriott Vacation Club, Phuket! Outstanding service, especially from the front desk team and the attentive housekeeping staff. The breakfast spread was delicious, offering a wide variety of options in a beautiful setting. A big thank you to the restaurant crew for their warm hospitality and exceptional service. Can't wait to come back!

Another great stay at a Marriot Resort. The hotel grounds and villas are outstanding well maintained and usual 5 star service by staff. We had a 2 bedroom Garden View Villa cannot say how comfortable it was as well as having every amenity you could think of. Some great independent restaurants at the beach as well as the usual excellent restaurants and bars within the resort. A 5 minute walk to Turtle Bay shopping area which also had a great selection of bars, restaurants and shops.
