Superb garden on the beach

A noisy party next to our room , expensive breakfast , Rooms too dark, made me paid twice … but gave me back my second payment at departure … Checking at 1600 in and checking out 10:00 …

Staff was amazing, the resort itself was beautiful.

Quiet secluded beach

Had a wonderful Full Body Workout by Fitness Instructor, Leem this morning at Lotus Pavilion: well moderated session with right intensity…. a softer version of HIIT! Glad that he led us in different forms of abdominal exercises; feeling my abs are tighter…. :) Great gym facilities as well!

Having the privilege to enjoy the hospitality of the Marriott Beach Club several times a year, I particularly appreciate that it is embedded in the surrounding 5-Star facility of the JW Marriott and benefits from it’s services. If one is not looking for the “usual attractions” one might find in the Patong or Kata area in the southern part of Phuket (at least one hour drive), Mai Khao is a calm location well suited for families and for those looking for a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Although the hotel is in service for more than 20 years, I am always impressed by the impeccable cleanliness and condition of the housing infrastructure and lush gardens, which are constantly kept up-to-date without loosing its charme of a blend of some traditional Thai elements, colonial style and subtle modern touch. The “invisible” housekeeping staff performs at a constantly high and consistent level; this time I appreciated to find every day a fully “restored” and cleaned appartment thanks to the efforts of Tara, Lena, Fa and Nicole. In the various restaurants and the Spa, thanks to high staff loyalty with very low turnover rate, as a guest it is always a treat to be remembered and to be welcomed by name and apparent genuine joy. Impossible to name all, I would just like to emphasize on the special guest service provided by Aod, Soh, Lek, Pum, Beer, Pichit, Chai, Nooknie, Kim, Molly, Rainbow, Aim, Rita, Mai, Tukta, Cream and all their numerous colleagues. This year, some modernization is planned for the Rim Nam Pool Bar, the Andaman Grill and the M-Beach Club; I hope that, as in the past, the style and spirit will be kept despite the probably necessary infrastructure update. The price tag for the stay is rather on the higher end, but is well reflecting the level of the offered services and standards.

The resort is clean and wonderful, but could use a little updating in the villas. The staff are amazing as they go out of their way to assist in any way. We sat for two weeks by the quiet pool and the team of Khun Zen could not have been any more wonderful and accommodating. We rode bikes every day and the staff in the fitness centre were beyond accommodating. The food was lovely. The weather was amazing and the resort all around is beautifully maintained. We will definitely be back.
