Restaurant mit Hallencharakter, dadurch sehr laut. Bei Abendessen sehr enge Tischstellung, kaum Distanz zu Nachbartisch.

Staff was exceptionally nice and helpful, especially waitstaff in restaurant.

Beds were massively uncomfortable. All other aspects of stay were 10/10 but would not stay again because everyone in our party had terrible nights sleep because of beds.

Good central location parking was great Spa was good All staff were very accommodating and lovey to speak to

This hotel well deserves its 4-star rating. It is a 12 minute walk from Dundee station - no bus. The staff were wonderful right from the start. Even though we arrived over 2 hours before the official time, the receptionist was happy to check us in and upgraded us to a superior room with no extra charge. Throughout our 4 night stay we found everyone equally helpful. Rooms are large, with plenty of wardrobe and storage space. Bathrooms have a walk-in shower in addition to a separate bath. Everything was very clean and well maintained. One drawback could be the lack of air conditioning, but as the weather was typical Scottish drear even in June we appreciated the cosy heating. Harbour-facing rooms have a minor access road outside which means there is some traffic noise during the day, but was not an issue in the evening. The bathrobe in our room was useful for going down to the spa/fitness facility. This has a reasonably sized pool, with small jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. The pool was a good temperature for serious swimming, but a bit cool for lounging in. Excellent shower arrangements in the changing rooms. Equipment in the fitness room looked limited, although there were free weights as well as machines.
