A great room

When we arrived we were unable to check in due to a WiFi outage which was understandable. However, the person at the desk was extremely rude despite us being understanding and patient.

Rooms were awesome. The kitchen was complete with cups, dishes, and silverware so it made the stay very convenient. Room was beautiful like a nice apartment and beautiful backyard view. The only downside was the loud construction noise in the early morning. It was Sunday morning the construction was happening and Saturday night in Steamboat is for the most part a fun night bar hopping. A morning to sleep in would’ve been nice after being out late.

This place was amazing! So clean, new and great facilities! Super friendly and helpful staff. If you need to bring your dog it’s incredibly pet friendly.

We loved our stay here! 2 bedrooms gave everyone plenty of space, and the room was extremely clean. The property was being painted during our stay, and it was obvious a lot of thought was put into the upgrades and decor. Convenient location. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Where to start, other than you get what you pay for I guess. The insulation between the floors and walls is horrible. We were kept up all night (2:30 am) by partying and screaming neighbors all three nights. Why they didn’t get thrown out the first or subsequent nights is baffling. Not to mention the barking dogs during the day. We called security every night and even knocked on their door because security didn’t show up the first night. I texted the property with zero response. The first night no one answered the phone at all. I asked to be moved but could be accommodated. Since I couldn’t move rooms I asked them again to try to keep the neighbors under control but that didn’t help. We arrived at 430 for a 4pm check in and the room still wasn’t ready and had to wait. I asked for clean towels and that never happened. They were out of soap in the shower which was never filled. When you look at cleanliness of a place you can tell who does a good job because the door casing and bathroom walls will be clean. This wasn’t. The rest of it was clean. I asked for a late checkout and was also not accommodated. I thought they’d be understanding being we were kept up by the partying. Staff only offered for us to use the sister property to hang out at in the lobby or pool. I was told I could get a partial one day $14 resort fee refund for the inconvenience which was not refunded. Seriously…

For the price and location in Steamboat, the Folds Hotel was perfect for our family vacation with small kids. They are currently remodeling the exterior but our recently renovated room inside was very modern and comfortable. Quick access to the downtown and resort was key as we were able to use our room as a home base between activities to rest and regroup. The outdoor mini-golf area and hot tub were nice bonuses. The price for our two bedroom was almost half what the surrounding hotels charged. We would absolutely stay here again on our next visit!
