The Fold Hotels Steamboat Springs

So it was a bit expensive for my budget. Very clean newly remodeled external entry. Three story walk up. Kitchen had most stuff necessary to cook except enoughpans. Wasn’t happy with $16 resort fee. Location was excellent and had a shuttle to the ski hill next time I’ll go someplace cheaper.

This is a great place to stay on a budget. The suites are spacious with a nice kitchen. The hot tub is the size of a bathtub the checkin process was crazy. There are some things that need improving but you get what you pay for.

Service was terrible We asked 6 times over 2 days for dishwasher pods. There were none in kitchen and told every time they’d bring right up. Never did. And same w shuttle from ski. 3 min away repeatedly said and finally came 40 min. So many waiting by then , they could barely all cram on. Temps were very cold at the time. Really frustrating experience. Poor quality furniture in room falling apart.

Great place-very spacious, modern, and clean. Get a lot of amenities and affordable.

Rooms are clean with plenty of space. Only negative is the bathroom doors don’t close because of the barn door style

The staff were rude on multiple occasions. When I asked for more towels instead of responding affirmatively, the staff member said rudely “you should have had six towels” which was irrelevant to my question and made me feel I wasn’t allowed more than a certain number of towels. When told those would be delivered within 5 minutes, the items never arrived at my suite until I asked again the next day. Additionally, members of my party were waiting for the shuttle to take them to the ski resort and the front desk staff was extremely rude when they inquired how long the wait would be. Overall, I appreciated the price and convenience of the property but feel it is very bare bones in terms of amenities.

Two bedroom suite, 3 nights, non-refundable rate. Both beds had black dog hair (we also had our dog, so we were sort of ok with). The linens and towels had stains. They were cleaned but obviously very old and would not be used if a branded hotel with standards. Floors had been swept but were definitely not mopped or cleaned. Hairs all over the bathroom and in the shower. Our friends who traveled w us had a larger issue in their room (legacy moved them) and the hotel across the street was sold out, so we sucked it up and made most of the trip. Morning shuttle service to the mountain was fine. Good luck getting back in the afternoon. We waited 45 minutes day 1 and ended up having a friend pick us up instead. We waited 30+ minutes day 2. Lines at steamboat were long, but we could count 3-5 shuttles for the other hotels compared to 1 for legacy. There is either 1 shuttle or they are bundled up and arrive at same time. Finally, there is a resort fee that I don’t recall seeing when we booked (maybe it was). I asked the front desk what was included and she said “the amenities”. I think the fee is for the fruit and granola bars in the lobby each morning and the shuttle, but I question the value. There are a ton of junk fees being charged by hotels these days, this one feels like they are charging because their competitors do… but they don’t add any value. We left a night early and forfeited the third non refundable night… hotel did offer to move us, but we had already packed.

Renovated rooms and location, looks pretty good at the first sight. However, unfortunately they lack of good management of the property which causes minor inconvenience - device / appliance broken in room, missing in-room body wash / regular coffee, molded food in snack bar, and long wait for shuttle. We like to stay here more but look forward to improvements.

The property location is the best part of this property. It is a mile from the ski resort and they provide a shuttle to and from. Unfortunately when we arrived our unit had a host of problems: stains on our bed sheets, no shampoo/conditioner, missing fire alarm, bathroom door fell off, etc. However, they were quick to remedy the issues we brought to them and provide a partial refund. Overall this is an average stay.
