"Very good"

The setting was very peaceful. The hosts had provided some food items for my parents and our children which I really appreciated.

Signs of damp by the front door and shower head needed fixing properly to the pole.

"Wonderfully quirky place with super comfortable beds and a fantastic host."

10.0

The host was extremely attentive and really lovely. Great communication, too. The place was super English and quirky and felt so special. Also, the beds were very, very comfortable.

It would have been nicer to have a sink downstairs, certainly if we had a long stay. Also, the plumbing in the bathroom wasn't fantastic.

"This property should not be rented out in its current state."

1.0

Sadly after a nights stay the only positive is the venues location.

The venue is damp, the smell of damp is overwhelming especially in the living room area. The plaster near the entrance door is falling off and there is a fairly large hole which has been left un treated. It rained over night and the whole entrance inside the property was wet through and the door was letting in water from the drain pipe that run above the door entrance. It was impossible to exit the property until the rain had stopped due to the amount of water cascading down onto the door and the gravel outside. The venue is an annex which is linked to the owners property, there is a large window and glass door that looks directly into the living room area from the owners property this gives very little privacy. The owners office and hallway is located directly behind the door and window where conversations could be heard clearly. The Carpets in the living room area are covered in stains and the settees and cushions smell stagnant. There is no kitchen in the property to get water or wash dishes although a jug of water was left in the fridge which is very old and rusty. Light switches in the living room were taped over with black electric tape and cables are literally everywhere. The lights either side of the top of the spiral stair case are hanging off the wall and are balanced on a single screw. The lamp shades fell off numerous times exposing live cables that had been joined with red electrical tape. The beds and bedding also smell stagnant and felt cold/damp to the touch. The bathroom is dreadful. Toilet seat wobbled and wasn't secure, there is a very dangerous cut exposed electric cable hanging above the basin mirror. The shower nozzle has been taped to the shower pole with yellow electric tape to hold it on and there is black mould/scum all around the shower screen. The bathroom is pretty much unusable!

"Lovely 2 bed property in beautiful surroundings"

7.0

Lovely 2 bed property, very spacious. Loved the layout with the metal spiral staircase. Harriet was very helpful and attentive. There isn't a kitchen as such, just a microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster, cutlery, plates, mugs and glasses. No sink, but Harriet was happy to wash anything for us and let us use her oven if necessary. Good takeaways in nearby Andover. We didn't take advantage of this in the end, but we had the use of the tennis courts and some camping chairs to sit on the lawned area which appeared to be for our sole use, I might be wrong about that though. Beautiful surroundings, lovely walks including a 45 mins walk to a fab pub, serving great food.

Could have done with a sink downstairs as sometimes there was just a few things to wash, dog bowl, etc. which we didn't want to leave to smell, so had to go upstairs to wash. It was very hot for 2 of the days we were there and the quilts were very thick and i think winter quilts. Could have done with summer quilts really, although there were fans in the rooms.
