Le Mars Inn and Suites

Breakfast was included...just normal waffle maker, pastries, toast....no sausage / pancakes Centrally located in front of the local Walmart which you could walk to. After switching room, had comfortable stay. Good value...could have paid more at another hotel. After alerting owner of problems with room, he worked to make us happy. I would stay there again if no problems with room.

Had to switch rooms. Hair dryer not work because the outlet in bathroom did not work. Poor lighting in bathroom. The whole A/C unit needs to be cleaned, visible dirt. Bathroom fan not work. No sink drain stopper, so could lose items (rings) if fell into sink. TV remote did not work properly. Hallway had musty smell... Talked to owner and had us moved to another room with twin beds Had called previously, explained wife had fractured her leg,(use cane) trouble going up stairs, and requested a king on the ground floor. When arrived, found they don't have a ground floor, have to climb 10+ stairs to reach first floor. Not told this... Arrived at 9:00 PM, too lake to book another hotel, so wife delt with it for duration of our stay

Very disappointed for the $$. 1950s look that has not been updated including room decor. Breakfast was non-existent. Small coffee cups with large lids. Danish hard and not digestible,

Hotels.com really needs to research these hotels. This was the worst place to stay. No locks on entry doors or even our room, fire detector covered in plastic bag, towels dirty and bed was a 6in foam mattress.

Price

The mattress is old and needs to be replaced. The entire building is outdated and needs to be updated.

The TV did not work. No Phone in room. I had to plug in the clock. No coffee or cups the next day. EXPEDIA related the ROOM was for $88.00, but I paid $89.98. Never use the internet for a room.

Excellent manager

Room was shabby. Baseboard trim was laying on floor. Walls had holes not fixed. Not enough towels in bathroom. Little basic upkeeping would go a long way.

There were people yelling in the hallways in the minddle of the night then when it come to breakfast the milk in the fridge was bad and the there was no staff around to get help when checking in my room there was a big spider in the bathroom
