Best Western Abbots Barton Hotel

It was all goo and definitely more than a 3 star hotel.

Breakfast pretty standard. Bar food only restaurant being renovated. Staff very good. Room excellent. Great location 15 20 min walk to centre.

Would be better with more parking. I was lucky to get last spot.

That we could open the windows.

The two very heavy doors, the steps and the very long corridors to get to the room with two heavy suit cases.

Areas which have been modernised look fantastic. Reception staff were lovely and very helpful.

One room had aircon, one did not. Rooms are very dated, but still comfortable.

Location and friendly staff.

No evening restaurant.

Das Hotel hat eine sehr gute Lage zur Erkundung der Innenstadt. Unser sehr ruhig gelegenes Zimmer ist neu renoviert und sehr modern. Der Parkplatz ist direkt am Hotel.

The architecture & location, can’t comment on the newer part of the hotel but the refurbished bar was lovely

The rooms view was over a dirty & untidy rear of the property. The noise & smells from the kitchen’s extractor fans wasn’t appreciated when on albeit not on all night. The bed was nice & big but pillows were too hard for our liking. We didn’t sleep soundly. The ensuite wasn’t particularly clean although in the old part that’s ok & liked but no excuse for rough construction etc. the room itself was smaller than expected from photos. Didn’t eat there so can’t comment on breakfast/ dinner.
