Best Western Abbots Barton Hotel

Location. We use this hotel as our stopover before going on the Shuttle from Folkestone

Fabulously helpful staff. Beautiful refurbished room. Walking distance into city centre. Free parking.

No air conditioning, it was a very hot weather during our stay. Being refurbished- some bits of the hotel are out of action or dated.

It had a jacuzzi bath and nice big bath sheets. Was nicely decorated and huge comfortable bed.

My partner said that the hot water took ages to come through but I didn’t experience that and we did have a power cut in the morning which was a bit inconvenient because I couldn’t do my hair or use the phone to call reception.

A good location but that’s the best bit. Very old fashioned dated rooms. Rather poor breakfast which was difficult to navigate as no one had thought out a way of displaying the food in an orderly way. Rather inadequate and unattractive. The TV didn’t work properly and the ancient shower was difficult to adjust. The staff were very pleasant but not enough of them. Unfortunately not recommended.

Its a beautiful property and the breakfast was wonderful.

It was a maze to get to our room.

Sehr nettes Personal, die Zimmer in älterem Stil, aber geschmackvoll und schön, die Lage sehr gut und ruhig, man kann zu Fuß ins Zentrum gehen, Frühstück sehr gut und ausreichend.

Es wird gerade umgebaut, davon merkt man aber nicht viel.

Breakfast was not good, fried eggs were solid. Fresh fruit on Saturday was poor
