Super 8 by Wyndham Dubuque

It is close to where I needed to be for my visit.

After about 20 minutes after check-in and sitting on the bed in my first room, I saw a live roach on the wall. I had just eaten a granola bar and guessing it smelled the wrapper in the garbage?? I went down to tell the fd associate and requested a different room. The next room I had, had an old water bottle under the bed from a previous guest. I found this out because I had to move the bed closer to the nightstand...it was about 2 feet away from the bed. Shower has black mold in crevices. If you are taking a shower, they are not seen. If you are taking a bath, you will see the black mold, gross. The bathroom ceiling was unsightly, looked patched and not completely finished; the vent partially coming off. The mattresses sink in the middle, the edges of the bed are higher because of it, making it uncomfortable to sit on the edge of the bed. Took a peek at breakfast in the morning, the apples were old, skins looked pale, shriveled and not appetizing. Once I saw them, I just turned around and walked out. Also was kind of turned off anyway because of the roach experience the night before.

I expected nicer and cleaner from a Wyndham hotel.

Was close to the areas we wanted to visit.

Very very helpful staff I am disabled and they went out of their way to help me get in and out of my room, they helped me from my car into my room and back again

Cheap and place to lay me head for the night.

Wish there was some kind of perk for so many stays at this chain of hotels.
