River Run Village by Vail Resorts

The condo we stayed in wasn’t clean and the furniture was in poor condition.

We stayed in the Red Hawk Condos. Our view was amazing, the condo was perfect! The village was beautiful short walk. It was like a Hallmark movie. They have a little grocery store that was perfect so we bought food to cook so we could hit the slopes first thing. It was a trip that was too short. It was just beautiful!! The only thing I would say that could be fixed is that they need to do a better job at cleaning up the towels by the pool and hot tub in the morning instead of just leaving them out to freeze, and then not having enough clean and dry ones later in the evening. All in all it was amazing!!

We were eventually put in an incredible condo, but when we arrived, they did t have a condo for us!

These are condos managed by Keystone Resort. Location is spectacular, right in the center of the village. Very close to the main gondola and a very short walk to all bars/restaurants. Check-in is offsite, but friendly and efficient. Underground, secured garage parking (right under the building) and a secured ski locker for the unit (1st floor) are included at no cost. Had the studio with the fold-down murphy bed and a couch. Unit was on top (fifth) floor, had vaulted ceilings with lots of windows. More than enough room for two people. Definitely larger than a normal “two queen” hotel room. Other reviewers took issue with the fold down bed, but the one in our unit was comfortable (beware that there isn’t a head board, but they do provide plenty of pillows). Room had a gas fireplace, portable humidifier (in closet), kitchen with full size stove/microwave/dishwasher/fridge, all the dish ware you could need. Temperature was comfortable. Shared outdoor tubs and sauna worked well and were clean. In spite of staying during peak ski season on a weekend, we were able to get in with no issues (you’ll be sitting with other people though for sure). The “meh”: WiFi is slow and drops. Elevators are slow, and the elevator doors required several attempts to close, making for awkward and frustrating moments during busy times of the day. They need to have housekeeping refresh the towel supply at the hot tub and sauna area much more frequently. Vail should fix these items.

Thermostat was pre-set. Impossible to change temp.

This point place was amazing! Had everything we needed and even stuff we didn't know we needed, like complimentary ski lockers on the first floor. Will be back!

Short overnight but great location

Very convenient location if you are there to ski and very nice having the basement garage to unload your things. Only 1 elevator was working at the time making it a big inconvenience getting to your floor. A lot of people waiting on the elevator.

Location is phenomenal right in middle of Riverrun village with close walk to Gondola. However, the condos are individually owned and are not well updated with very cramped accommodations (too much furniture for too little space), many of the appliances in the kitchen were not working (icemaker didn't work and no hotel icemaker, coffee maker didn't keep coffee warm, 1 burner on stove didn't work, toilet didn't fill and required us to open up back of toilet after every flush). Hotel property manager and service almost non- existent despite having to pay a resort fee. Called multiple times to "front desk" (there isn't one) and most of the time no one answered. Never any towels at the hot tub despite letting management know several times. Only 1 elevator working for entire hotel (other out of service) so every ride up/doen took 10-15 min! Overall, very disappointing hotel/condo experience but we had a good time bc we are a chill family and location was great. Will not return to the River Run Condos for this very high price and low quality service.

Fantastic location as we could easily walk to the River Run gondola, even with a child. The shops and restaurants of the village were close too. The unit was clean, cozy, with great beds and bathrooms.
