My family and I had the best time! My kids enjoyed pools, I enjoyed view and close walk to beach

We did not have that great of a time there. Check in is at 4pm. We called to ask if we could park in the garage and use the beach beforehand, since the parking deck had several open floors of empty spaces, and we had already paid for the room online. We were told we could not use the parking deck or pool or any hotel facilities until checked in, even though we had already paid. I just wanted to get the kids onto the beach, and in a position to walk up to the room when they were done. They would notify us if the room was ready early though. I hoped it would be since the room wasnt used for the previous several days. I know this because I almost rented it for those days. I get it tho. So we went to the public parking lot beach and swam there while awaiting check in at 4pm. 4pm arrives, so I drove up with my wet, salty and sandy kids and family. I was made aware that the room was not ready yet, just a few mins. Not a big deal. We took the luggage upstairs and were then made aware by housekeeping that the room would not be ready for another hour and a half! We were offered a partial refund, but the manager could not say how much or when, which is kind of odd. It ended up being $57 off of the $530. They did offer a free late checkout though. The room was clean, but there were definitely cockroaches in the halls and pool areas. Probably going to try somewhere else next time.

Quiet. Easy access to the beach. Gift shop hours are not correct. Understaffed in the restaurants. Everythig you do a tip is asked for. Are the workers not already paid?

I felt it was rundown . The best thing about this place it is on the beach and the staff.

We stayed in South Tower, 1539, which is categorized as a One bedroom. The room was fine, but would not stay again. Updates are needed to this room- there are cracks in the walls, bath fixtures covered in rust, and a visible gap that runs from floor to ceiling next to the balcony door. Additionally, the cleanliness of the room was lacking. Upon unfolding the pullout couch, we found a can of Axe body spray and several Cheetos. There was trash on the floor in the bedroom. (Clear juice box straw wrappers, but, still present.) The staff at check in was friendly, as was the custodial staff that continually cleaned the main lobbies. All other service staff were incredibly rude. The bartenders in Sandtrap Sports bar (I think her name is Buttercup??) were especially awful. We did enjoy the multiple pools of this location, as well as the fact we often saw security present. However, the cons here unfortunately outweigh the pros.
