The Westin Resort & Spa, Whistler

Have been staying at this Westin for 25 years and still really great ski destination. Close to Whistler gondola and right in heart of village. Rooms Well designed with kitchenettes, fire places. For family of 4 adults we had a junior king and a double room. Nice pool, hot tubs appreciate ski valet. All staff very friendly and effective. Fire Rock a nice place to have spare cocktail and bight to eat. Our shower grain seemed slow so asked maintenance to fix and they did right away. Great ski resort.

-The room was generally fine, but smaller and dated compared to other properties at Whistler, such as the Pan Pacific. -The location was excellent, right next to the Whistler Village gondola. -The front desk staff, mostly young seasonal workers from Australia, were very friendly and responsive. The manager was very responsive. -This hotel is geared more for conventions, not so much for upscale relaxation.

-Rooms were small for the price. -Even though I paid for parking and gave the front desk my license plate number, Impark gave me a parking ticket for $90+. The young man working the front desk and manager helped me get the charge removed promptly and were very responsive (I never checked if they really did). However, this doesn't reflect well on Westin, especially when the guests are just trying to relax without these silly sources of anxiety. -Pool was too cold to use. -They made a lot of mistakes on my invoice and entered an Amsterdam, Netherlands home address (inexplicably).

Perfect location for skiing and very family friendly hotel. Great food and helpful staff. Fireplaces in the rooms are perfect for a winter vacation.

I loved the location, the access to stores, restaurants and the village.

It felt like a glorified bed and breakfast. The installations were regular, it took ages for the operator to pick up the phone, the rooms are tiny with almost no storage/closet space.
