This is a great place to stay. It has a unique layout and an onsite cafe. The swimming pools are nice. There is a trolly stop right out front. We had a balcony over looking a creek which was very relaxing. Will definitely be coming back.

My husband and I stayed just a short weekend to celebrate a big life change. The pools were nice and not super crowded. We did manage to see LOTS of bears 🐻 and the cafee is pretty overpriced for what it is but it was convenient to not walk to town everytime we got hungry. My only complaint is that the rocking chair collapsed on me when I went to sit on it. Turns out a previous guest clearly broke it and tried to mash it back together. I weigh a whole 100 pounds and it was a hard fall so imagine a "normal" sized adult.

Staff has always been amazing, helpful, and courteous. It's an easy walk down to the main drand if you're feeling a little lazy you can always take the red line back up the hill.

We recently stayed here. It's an older resort but we really liked it for the price. We booked an creekside room with a balcony. It was nice to see the little creek outside our room. You could hear the water running. We had planned to fish there but it's only for kids 12 and under. It's a great place to stay if you have children. There is an outside pool. Also an inside pool with a waterfall and hot tub. Inside pool I believe it's for 14 and up unless with a parent so that was nice. They also have a small diner on site. We ate breakfast the last morning and it was very good. It's 5 minutes drive from downtown Gatlinburg and you can catch the trolley if you don't want to pay for downtown parking. The people that work at Sidney James Resort were very nice. We will stay again.
