The Alpine House

Das kleine Hotel wurde laut Personal neu renoviert. Es fehlen allerdings noch an Details . Das Zimmer war nicht sehr geräumig, aber für 2 Personen im Sommer durchaus ausreichend. Das Frühstück war für amerikanische Verhältnisse sehr fein. Eine Auswahl an italienischen Spezialitäten, mit normalem Geschirr und Stoffservietten. Der Platz zum Frühstücken ist allerdings ein wenig klein.

Es gibt keine Verdunkelungsvorhänge sondern nur innen Holzjalousien die natürlich im Wind klappern und auch nicht wirklich ausreichend verdunkeln. Im Badezimmer fehlen Ablageflächen.

Location is great. Owner really tries to make the stay personal and intimate. The structure is inviting. The breakfast offered was wonderful (wish we’d understood it was a full breakfast on our first day and saved eating out).

The cooling unit in our room was loud and inconsistent. It’s possible that the loft we stayed in made cooling challenging, but the unit itself was much louder than other places we’ve stayed and unfortunately blowing right in the bed. This may not have been an issue in other units. We also thought that for the cost there might have been a small refrigerator in the unit (there was an empty dresser that would’ve had room); traveling through the parks, we had food we’d traveled with that needed cooling (but they did accommodate a request and place it in a staff refrigerator).

We arrived at Alpin house in mid June, my husband and I. We were placed in room nine, which was a queen room. The literally were floor ceiling! The bed was extremely comfortable. The room was clean the bathroom with stellar. Air-conditioning and heat both worked phenomenal and there was a huge TV with every channel you can think of. The staff was absolutely amazing… So friendly accommodating but not overbearing. The breakfast every morning was perfect. They had a full of cheeses, breads, meats, and jams… But they would also make you a full breakfast whatever you want a home request. The place was extremely clean and we absolutely had no issues. We cannot wait to come back Again.

Perfect location! Clean, comfortable- loved the decor and all the windows! Hate to leave after just one night.

Bed was comfortable, equipped with everything needed.

It seems the Alpine House may be under new management. I checked in at the Anvil Motel instead of at the property. The charm of an owner run business was the main attraction for the Alpine House. Checking in off site was unwelcoming.
