Staff are always super friendly and welcome us back each time we stay

This was a return visit to one of my favourite hotels. Excellent food and very helpful and friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Hosted a dinner for 8 enjoyed by all.

Staff service and historic building. Good service at breakfast. Nice views of the state.

Some of the facilities and room features are a bit outdated: curtains, showerhead, old carpets with stains.

Lovely looking hotel. Old and quaint. My room clean, cosy, but was a little dated, especially the bathroom. But added a little to the charachter. Well priced. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good value, would 100% stay again.

Had the eggs benedict for breakfast which wasn't the best, was served on what felt like cheap ham and muffins. The full english looked good. But the service was quick and with a smile.

Staff were lovely, and breakfast was really good. Bed was comfy, location was perfect for visiting family.

We were right up in the attic bedrooms, and the wallpaper was peeling off the walls, radiator didn't work, mobile one was provided. Windows couldn't shut due to severe damp swelling and they were extremely mouldy. Secondary glazing wouldn't close either. Blood on pillowcase, dirt all along bath panel. Shower hose was split, so hardly any water came out of the shower head. Spot light kept flickering, so couldn't put main light on.

Beautiful property and a fabulous location.

Lovely building in a fine quiet setting.
