Lake Placid Lodge

Lake Placid Lodge is so close to the Creekside Gondola. Our unit was perfect for our family of 6 adults. And it was in new condition with all the appliances we needed to cook some meals there. We liked the loft with the private sleeping area, bathroom, and large sitting area. This unit also provided pool towels & bathrobes which was a bonus. We also enjoyed the gas fireplace & roomy sitting area in the condo. The "Booking" agent was quick to reply to our questions and we were able to pay for an extra parking spot which we needed. The garage says it is 6 foot 4 inches, but the first section is taller, and we were able to park our vehicle which had a roof box without any issues - (Our height was about 7 feet). The hot tub is large which accommodates for lots of people at one time.

We wished the unit had a washer and dryer. There is one somewhere in the lodge, but we didn't look for it. The dish washer was a bit difficult to get to work and tips forward when loading it. The owner may want to take a look at it.

It was great with everything we needed and fantastic location , all facilities were amazing

It was impossible to check in earlier and a 4 pm check in is way too late

Nothing about the checkin, but only positive was that it easy to find the lodge. Accomodation was clean and fresh.

The whole checkin process. Not being able to contact any one easily by phone as the numbers on the welcome letter just rang out repeatedly Lack of timely information regarding how to checkin with the door code. Arrived two hours before our arrival by email while we were travelling en route. Too last minute. Very poor phone helpline service,Took six attempts at calling before I could speak to someone. Was begining to get quite frustrated with this at the time. Pretty poor really Very poor design of the bathroom door lock....my 11 year managed to accidently lock the bathroom door from the outside. Fortunately was able to release the lock with a paper clip,

The lodge was located in an ideal location

They helped us with luggage storage since we arrived early in the day.

Payment was a bit confusing, but we worked it out.
