The property itself is attractive, and it’s clear the resort wants to present a polished experience.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel obligated to share this for other families and travelers. During our stay, we witnessed a serious medical emergency in/near the pool area. Based on what I personally observed, there was no immediate lifeguard response. Several guests began responding first while nearby staff appeared confused and unprepared in the critical first moments. Whatever the underlying cause, the situation looked like one where seconds mattered, and the initial response did not inspire confidence. What made this worse was how the resort handled it afterward. I contacted the resort and later escalated to Hyatt’s support channels to ask for reassurance about staffing, training, and emergency preparedness. The responses felt boilerplate, avoided specifics, and repeatedly said they could not share additional information “beyond what was already shared.” I was also directed back to Booking.com because the reservation was made through a third party. In short: no accountability, no meaningful empathy, and no attempt to make things right—despite the traumatic nature of what guests witnessed. I understand resorts may have policies and limits on what they can share. But as a guest who witnessed a frightening event, I expected a more transparent, guest-centered response and clear reassurance about safety readiness. Instead, I left feeling that guest safety and communication are not handled at the level they should be. Pros: The property itself is attractive, and it’s clear the resort wants to present a polished experience. Cons: Safety preparedness (as witnessed), staff readiness during an emergency, and the follow-up/guest care afterward were unacceptable. I cannot recommend this resort based on this experience.
