I always enjoy staying at Holiday Inn Express

Clean rooms

First time we stayed at this hotel in 2024, it was great. July 2025, not so much. Rooms to the right of the lobby are horribly loud with traffic. There were children running around at all hours either upstairs or downstairs and I’m talking herd of elephants type noise. When asked if there was a room available away from the road, there was not.

Staff Polite and Friendly

The beautiful young lady Sophia was so helpful and nice.

Hotel was fine for a quick overnight but we were given room 115 on lower level and starting very early in morning was chair dragging and foot stomping. I’m not sure if we were below the breakfast area but it was too early for us.

Location was good for Laguna Seca raceway event that weekend.

Cooked breakfast on the second day was pretty inedible. Omelets and sausage patties were extremely dry. Non of us could eat them.

Lots of room

My room faced the exterior area of the hotel. They began painting the parking lot and doing maintenance work at 6 a.m., making a lot of noise and waking us up at that hour. I went to the front desk to file a complaint, and they told me there was nothing they could do. I wonder where the consideration for the guest is — they could at least wait until 9 a.m. to start the work so people can rest peacefully.
