Northwoods Inn & Suites Blackduck

Warning don’t stay here for the pool or hot tub - they are still closed “due to covid” not only are they closed they are drained - breakfast also closed “due to covid” . None of this is shown on the hotels.com ad.they actually have numerous photos of there pool area etc. They also will deny your refund request from hotels.com when you arrive and realize you have been duped. I literally stood in the lobby with the hotels.com rep on my cell phone trying to contact the hotel on the other line, instead of answering I watched them just Pick up the phone and hang it up- this place knows there scamming you and is intentionally avoiding hotels.com to avoid having to give a refund. (Hotels.com has to get approval from the hotel to give you a refund- if they can’t reach them they won’t issue a refund) They also didn’t shovel “because the snow gives traction” exact quote from the owner/manager. I was there with my disabled father and just getting him into the building was a little sketchy. I’ve stayed here a few times in the past when up in the area ice fishing - but never again will I step foot In this place.

This was a filthy place the bathroom had pubic hairs along the floor boards. Behind the sink was gross and dirty. The tub was filthy. No way would I take a shower in there. The windows were so dirty you could hardly see out of them. The grass was knee-high with dandelions and weeds most uncapped building I’ve ever stayed in and I travel all over the United States. Wyndham should be ashamed of them selves… It was old, but it could at least be clean. My 85 year old, half blind mother found old q-tips in between the bed and the night stand. Just gross

Quite, clean, and comfort bed.

Has seen better times, a bit rundown. Hall lighting was poor, room was clean and ok. Owner/manager/clerk was not very personable but not rude, either. Pool closed permanently. Acceptable, but we'd rather stay somewhere else next time.

Easy to find right off the highway. Easy check in, friendly staff and plenty of parking. Room was ready and fine for sleeping. Facility is starting to look a little dated by older carpet, appliances like mini fridge and microwaves, and shower was starting to deteriorate but no real problems encountered. No continental breakfast at the hotel, but a restaurant is next door to go to.

The didn’t like are all COVID restrictions related and I totally understand

The hotel is older and the furniture seems even older. The hotel does have fridge and microwave but they are very old. The mattresses are in need of changing.

We were able to stay with out a cerdit card !!!!!!!!!!!
