Papagayo Beach Resort

We visited and stayed in the villas for a week for our birthdays and Hector made our stay so fun and enjoyable. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and friendly. Housekeeping cleaned the rooms daily, which I truly appreciated. The grounds were well kept and allowed for opportunities to view so many beautiful birds, iguanas, etc. The security was pleasant and provided an extra sense of safety that made the stay even more enjoyable. The beach resort, pool, ocean, everything was amazing. Overall, a great location and experience.

Jan Thiel has a great vibe and this property provides both easy access to entertainment and quiet areas/privacy to just hang out with friends. We stayed in Villa 115 and especially enjoyed the sliding doors that afford great views, ventilation, and privacy when desired. The property is clean, the staff is helpful and friendly, and the villas contain all the utilities and kitchenware you need. Furnishings are stylish and comfortable. The grocery store is within easy walking distance, as is the entertainment complex which provides a variety of bar/dining options at multiple price points. The Papagayo infinity pool (saltwater) is both beautiful and refreshing with plenty of beach chairs for everyone.

2 bedroom appartement and was great, great bed, porch, kitchen etc. Distance to beach about 400 meters. Didn't use the pool at the resort and restaurant was closed which wasn't clear to us. Yes I would come back.

We had a lovely vacation at Papagayo. The staff (especially Loechnella) was super sweet en nice. They helped us with everything. Would stay here again.

Staff are super helpful, felt very safe and comfortable. The villa was clean and all facilities in great working order. Food at the Papagayo Beach Club is tasty and prices are fair. Supermarket nearby is a plus when you like to prepare your own meals and buy more water and other bits and bobs such as sunscreen, mosquito repellent, after sun balms, etc.

This place is truly paradise. Beautiful resort, helpful and friendly staff, easy check in and out, great restaurant on the beach. We stayed in the villas and it was perfect. Well appointed kitchen and nice bedrooms each with AC. The doors that collapse and open onto the deck make it feel so open and airy you can really enjoy the weather and the views. Grocery store, gym, spa, everything is right there without being too busy. Jan Thiel beach and the restaurants that surround it are great. Easy access to anywhere you want to go. We will be back.

Beautiful resort near Jan Thiel beach. Perfect location. Great restaurant, clean comfortable rooms and beds. Nice staff. We stayed in a villa and it was perfect for a family of 5.

Horrible noise feom a dj every night until 1 am!! Do not come for rest.. nobody told us there would be a private party. The bass is so loud the doors and windows are shaking. Very unpleasant. The manager is not around to have a chat and no respond to mails.
