Extended Stay America Suites - San Diego - Carlsbad Village by the Sea

Property didnt have my room ready or clean ehen i checked in, since i made my reservation at 10am and checked in at 7pm, but no room available so i had to wait.

So I am super disappointed in this hotel.

They dont give a good breakdast n no shampoo

desk clerk changed my room to the furthest room in the hotel from the original room he was about to give me. I told him I would only be there for the night and he was about to hand me a key for a lower level room close to the front entrance of hotel. when I got off the elevator and turned to go to my room, it was the last room at the end of long hallway. No towels in room, had to go down stairs and to the front desk to get towels. Not happy that I had to walk from the room that was so far from the elevator. room was clean -

Front office Angelina was super friendly and made me feel welcomed.

Great staff and front desk were helpful every worker we talked and asked for help helped very much. Rooms were clean and fridges were too ac worked great and tv was wonderful.

Hotel was fine. Good value for the price and location in Carlsbad. Freeway noise not so great however

Location

The room was a handicap room which we didn’t want or request; the door handle to the bathroom was broken along with the shower seat. The bathroom was extremely dangerous, the tile was slick and both my wife and I almost fell trying to take a shower because the shower sprayed all over the room. Being a handicap room there were no countertops in the bathroom, no place to put any items such as toothbrushes etc. There are no ice machines, we were told to make our own ice, which can take hours.
