Liverpool Aigburth Sefton Park Hotel By Belvilla

A fantastic stay at Liverpool Aigburth Hotel... The manager of the hotel was brilliant, and almost like an old friend - And the rest of the staff was smiling and helpful. We were 4 friends visiting Liverpool for the first time. We will come back - And we hope there will be room at this old and magnificent place. Room was a little dated, but staff were fabulous, accommodating and 'happy'. I stay in Liverpool frequently for work, normally staying right in the city by the water, but a bad experience demanded a change. This hotel is opposite Sefton Park, which I took an early morning walk around and is close to shops and bars. Breakfast was cooked to order and a tasty omelette provided, self serve cereals, toast, coffees etc. Very attractive hotel frontage. In the room (28) the heating pipes were very noisy throughout the night, they ran right behind the bed. The room was clean, but basic and dated, even though it was an executive room booking. However what makes this place is the team and Tim the manager, great attitudes, which can be lacking in bigger hotels. Fantastic choice of bars and eateries just 5 mins walk away.

Lovely and cozy hotel at the edge of Sefton Park. With fairy-tale gardens and breakfast with a view to the park. Our room was spotless clean and the bed was comfy. The receptionist upon check in was very nice and helpful, and the staff in the restaurant for breakfast very welcoming. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Liverpool if want to stay away from the city center.

Booked an Executive room and overall were very pleased with it. There was some traffic noise and the sash windows rattled a bit, but it was spacious and overlooked Sefton Park. Friendly, helpful staff.

Just OK. Very quiet, good location for Lark Lane etc but in need of an update. Bed was OK and it’s clean, but it’s a very run down hotel at quite a high price for what you get (£165 a night for a large double) Alright if you want a quiet location with parking. Very much, just OK

All staff we met were lovely and accommodating - they really went above and beyond for us which we really appreciate.

Held a ladies night there 28th Jan. For 79 guests. The ball room was fabulous the food was spectacular and the events manager Rachael and her staff and bar staff were brilliant. We could not fault it, it was the most fabulous evening we have had for a long time. We hold this event every year and will definitely look into holding it a the Liverpool Aigburth next year.

We'd had this hotel booked for us as part of a virgin voucher experience for one night, along with a trip in liverpool. We had added an additional night to see more of the city and book additional tours, so this proved to be a pleasant base to get into the city centre from, as it was a short 10 minute drive. We thought there was a restaurant on site, however this was not to be the case. Instead we walked to Lark Lane which was a short walk away, where there are several bars and restaurants to choose from (please avoid the Lodge at all costs). Pros - Great location overseeing the park from the breakfast room. Room was clean and also large for what was a standard double Staff were friendly and accomodating (Tim was full of conversation at breakfast) Free Parking - always a bonus Breakfast had a great choice, and was hot. Cons - Room could do with a refresh (for example it was clear that the bathroom door had been rehung from somewhere else?)

The noise from the central heating pipes were so loud that I had to be moved to another room at 1 am. The cleanliness of the rooms was not acceptable. The receptionist checking me in was more interested in talking to her colleague than attending to me. I did speak to Tim, the duty manager and he agreed to provide partial monetary compensation which was honourable but I would rather have had a good night’s sleep!

Great weekend away with the girls, loved the room and the beds were lovley and comfy. Staff so friendly and helpful on the reception and at the bar. Cannot fault anything !
