The Victorian House

You get what you pay for and it was ok, for a cheap but clean bed. -Lots of stairs to climb, inside and out, so be prepared. -Walls are paper thin. Heard everything from my neighbors on either side. -The bed was like sleeping on a rock, mattress really need replacing. I had to flip it to get any kind of scrap of comfort. -Then the person upstairs caused water to come down through the ceiling (probably a blocked pipe) and they had to move me (but only for the night, until the water stopped dripping). -That room was more comfortable, though again, the mattresses need to be replaced on all the double beds. Ended up sleeping in the single as it was more comfortable than any other. -Moved back into my old room the next day and the water hadn't been cleaned up yet, so had to wait in the lobby while they finally got to it. -The maid's need to be trained not to just burst in (even when you have the do not disturb sign up). Though, I felt a bit bad for them as the management didn't seem to believe them when I said I didn't need the room done more than once during my week there. -The towels were clean, but shockingly tattered. -Good water pressure in the shower. If you're looking for luxury, this is not the place, but was ok for the week I stayed here as I was looking for a permanent home.

The property delivered what we expected it was clean and comfortable. The bathroom could do with updating but the shower was great. Booking in was very well handled and the staff very helpful. I was very disappointed that breakfast was not included even though it was advertised as a bed and breakfast, and there was no reflection in the price for this change.The property was well positioned for what we wanted but the walk to it is quite strenuous.

Quick check-in friendly service. A bit dated but clean.lots of tea and coffee. Good size room.very steep hill to climb to get to.the bed was comfy had a good sleep.no noise. I would stay here again

Beautiful old terraced building. Bit of a trek (for me) from city centre, but just a couple of mins in an uber. Nice comfy bed.

It couldn't be helped but the walks back from suachehall street up the hill were exausting.

Very run down, dirty, mould on walls and windows. Curtains falling off. no hot water in shower. kettle didn’t work. Tv remote didn’t work. Lumpy pillows. No breakfast ! AWFUL.

Friendly staff, great room and very good tea/coffee making facilities. Excellent location and value for money. Really pleased to have made a reservation at Victorian House. Will definitely stay again. Thank you so much:)))

This hotel needs a major upgrade to rooms ours was a good size but the decor / furnishings were dated and worn , curtains and walls were scuffed and dirty , would not recommend although it is very central and cheap .

Staff was so friendly and the house was well decorated. It was quite old but well maintained. The room was well equiped and clean.
