"HORRIBLE!!! -DO NOT stay there"

Horrible! DO NOT ‘RESERVE’ a room here! THEY DO NOT honor YOUR RESERVATION! They gave away both our room and another room in our reserved block. Blatantly screwed both of us. Both rooms were reserved, both far ahead of the date AND confirmed the day of the reservation -IN PERSON! We had a nearby wedding. My wife was told at 2 pm that we could not check-in yet, so she confirmed that we needed a ‘late arrival’. She was told that as long as we were there before midnight we were good. When we arrived after the wedding just after 11 pm, we were told they had NO ROOMS. The other couple we were there with actually had checked-in at 4 pm that day, and was given their room key. When they arrived back at the hotel they FOUND OTHER PEOPLE IN THEIR ROOM! YES-the Hampton Inn Akron South actually gave their room away to other people! This could easily have been a dangerous situation for them to walk in to an occupied hotel room. This hotel clearly does not understand or respect what a ‘reservation’ actually is. DO NOT go there. And- to add insult to injury- they have fake ‘customer happiness’ signs all over their lobby. Clearly BS

The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable, including giving snacks to the kids. The swimming pool was well stocked with towels and they checked frequently to make sure there were enough towels. They mopped the hallway leading to the pool frequently to make sure floors were safe and did not have puddles.

There was no counter space in bathroom AT ALL. A room with 3 women,thats not good at all. We had to dig outta bags for 2 days.
