The view was great

Amenities inside the room were poor, coffee packets, sugar etc.were rationed

Room was a good size with a nice coastal view. Very well cleaned. Bottled water every day. Hotel is adults only , we have stayed here several times as we like the peace and quiet. Good selection of fresh fruit and cooked at breakfast

The orange juice at breakfast is little more than water with an orange tinge. It is truly shocking. I did mention this after our last stay but nothing has been done. It is from a cheap dispenser that really takes away from the quality of the hotel. Tea is from a vending machine and again is abysmal! Impossible to get a good cup of tea. The hotel used to have tea pots and these have been taken away and replaced by an awful machine. I did ask the staff for a tea pot but was told none are available. Again This was mentioned on our last visit and nothing has been done. Some of the female staff particularly on the bar and pool, appeared to be rather unhappy in their work. Comments on having to serve drinks at 10.45pm as the bar closed at 11.00pm pool towels after 5pm were a little blunt to say the least.

Great location, good choice for breakfast, hotel facilities good . House keeping excellent. Bed comfortable, room good size, very quiet.

This was our first trip to th Regency Cliff Bay hotel . From the moment we arrived we found the staff to be friendly and prepared to help you. We booked a premium room and can I say the view was Stunning. The room was spotless and cleaned everyday by very efficient staff.the breakfast was buffet style which had more than enough selection. We booked one a la carte meal , which we found to be super.

It’s friendly, quiet and the staff are lovely. The room had a beautiful sea view and the restaurant has amazing food and roof to sea views.

Lovely location, just far enough outside the Funchal hubbub. Clean and immaculately presented.
