close to college, staff was friendly

The location was perfectly convenient to the commencement exercises at MSU - CVM and to meal options. The room was well taken care of by your housekeeping staff. The much needed AC unit worked wonderfully well as did the extra layer of room darkening window coverings! Brilliant to have at a guest’s disposal microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, and the all important ice machine! As I do not eat carbohydrates, the breakfast offerings looked and smelled wonderful but were unuseful to me. Miss Sara and the young man on duty in the evenings were wonderfully helpful, professional and engagingly friendly. They do your organization proud as your front line representatives.

First and foremost was the mattress in my room. So many guests had sat up in bed that there was a deep depression from the many posteriors. Even with a pillow, the deep depression caused me to sleep with my head in a down incline. No, I did not try the other bed in the room because I did not wish to cause extra work for housekeeping. That is completely on me. I did report the poor mattress condition to Miss Sara upon checkout. She did note my report, sincerely apologized and stated that would be top of the renovation list.

the room needed cleaning - a good dusting - crumbs and wrappers on the floor and in the chairs. Someone’s broken nail was in the floor; water from shower getting on the floor; bathroom lighting way too dark

The air worked well. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was nice and area was clean.

The room was dated. The bathroom was dirty with water marks and hair on walls. The pillows felt like wadded up sheets in a pillowcase. The door plate was loose and missing a screw so when you tried to open the door it was jammed and you had to use excessive force to enter/ exit. We reported it, but it was never fixed. Just needed a screw replaced.
