"Put this hotel on the top of your list if you're staying in the Sarasota area "

I'm not sure where to begin. Could it be the fact that this older property is BEAUTIFULLY maintained? How about the awesome front desk, maintenance and housekeeping staff (warm, welcoming and friendly)? Did I mention the tremendous value this hotel is, especially when compared to the outrageously priced nearby places? Breakfast anyone? Really good choices. Maybe I should mention how quiet it is (slept like a baby even though it's right next to a major highway). I could go on and on, but won't. Wait a minute! One more thing: house made, warm and huge chocolate chip cookies every night. Mmmmm.

This was one of the nice hotels we stayed in. We were welcomed immediately and had quick and smooth check in. The bed and pillows were comfortable, linen were clean. Bathroom was nice and clean. Definitely a place to come back to.

We have a huge problem with the billing of these rooms. we reserved 3 rooms under one reservation, and another reservation. So 4 rooms total. Upon arriving at the hotel they only had 2 reservations (2 rooms). The manager was not helpful as these rooms were reserved through Hotels. com. So we rebooked the rooms through The Fairfield Inn. Currently we have been doubled charged for 3 of the rooms. No one to talk to at Hotels. com and the General Manager at the Fairfield Inn has not returned my phone call regarding this manner. NOT HAPPY TO SAY THE LEAST!

Loved the Fairfield. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. The rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast buffet is excellent. Great location. We were there for a soccer tournament and it was close by. Lakewood Ranch is a great area, close to beaches, the airport and Sarasota. Would definitely return.
