Fairfield by Marriott at Lakewood Ranch - Sarasota

DON’T BE FOOLED FOLKS. The pictures are NOT OF THIS FACILITY. This Marriott is a ficade - no different than a Wyndam motel.- BUT 3 times the price. I’d like 2/3rds of my money back.

The staff was very courteous and helpful. The room was very clean both days. Breakfast was amazing, anything you could want. We would use this facility again.

Wet carpets, poor gym, no fresh coffee or hot rate Property is below average.

I have to say, the staff here was so friendly and accommodating. Great location in Lakewood Ranch and so much to do around the hotel. Shopping (UTC Mall), great dining and access to the Interstate. I will definitely stay here again when I come back to town.

The staff at this hotel is incredibly accommodating. No matter the issue, they are quick to assist and always go above and beyond to ensure a great experience. Their dedication to guests is outstanding! The lady at breakfast is very sweet. She said good morning to me every day I got my coffee

Room was TINY. Shower was dirty. They did not advertise that the property was under renovations.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and I had a pleasant experience overall. The staff was friendly and always willing to help, which made me feel welcomed. The breakfast was decent – not a huge selection but enough to start the day right. I found the rooms to be very clean and well-maintained, which I appreciated. The overall energy of the hotel was cozy and comfortable. While there were no extra frills, everything was functional and well-kept despite the construction taking place. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a straightforward, comfortable stay.

Booked and paid for a room for my daughter thru Expedia due to her mandatory evacuation for Hurricane Helene. She provided a personal card for incidentals as is normal policy but was charged the full price of the room upon checkout. When contacting the hotel to rectify the situation, she was informed that they would not process a refund until they were able to retrieve the Expedia payment card info that the staff member deleted when she checked in. After contacting the hotel numerous times, as well as Marriott Customer Service, a refund for the correct amount showed as pending in her account yesterday (three FULL weeks after her stay). Today that refund is gone and there is a new refund for $20 which does not come close to the cost of the reservation. She continues to communicate with the hotel, but our patience is at an end. The hotel is nice enough, but I cannot in good conscience recommend that anyone stay there. This whole situation makes me leary of using Expedia in the future given that this incident has still not been resolved.

Absolutely nothing.

Hotel cancelled my reservation right on the cusp of a dangerous hurricane approaching, due to their overbooking. They just sent an email to advise us. No apology, no nothing. We were in a mandatory evacuation area, had no car and now had no place to stay. They placed us in a very dangerous situation, at the last minute, and did so in a very callous manner.
