The Equus

Very friendly staff. Their parking was more difficult than anticipated but the ended up accommodating us!

Our stay at the Equus was nothing but wonderful! The staff are friendly and pay special care to everyone who stays. The rooms are clean, have everything you would need, and if not the staff is always happy to help. There is a pool on site and also parking. Parking can get a little crowded though around the evening but the staff are eager to help you find a spot nearby. The atmosphere of the hotel is beautiful and cozy. The location of the hotel is perfect, very close to the Ala Moana Center (about a 4 minute walk from the hotel), with an ABC store in the corner and other restaurants nearby! Also, the Ala Moana Beach Park is only a five minute walk and way less crowded than Waikiki beach. If you’re looking for an stress-free, peaceful, and cozy hotel, the Equus is the place to stay! 100% recommend and would come back again!!

Absolutely LOVE the native Hawaiian reception and hotel workers. Their aloha is genuine. From phone reservations to reception to parking to housekeeping…The aloha is real from real local Hawaiians. The hotel has an old style charm, it is quaint and clean. You can hear the street activity in rooms that are toward the front. But Iʻm an easy sleeper and was not bothered by the noise. If you like sincere service and real locals, this is the place. The location is fantastic with shopping and eateries nearby. Itʻ is easy to convenient to get into and out of the hotel without the hassle and traffic of mid Waikiki. Super affordable. Weʻve already booked our next stay! Mahalo

The service provided at desk/lobby was great and super friendly. The facilities could use lots of updating; shower and other areas were clearly older, including a bed with large dip on one side. The street noise was very noticeable, and having blackout drapes would be excellent, especially considering how early the sun rises. Plentiful amenities, but need more and larger parking; multiple times we had difficulty getting in and out of tiny lot.

This was a very nice cozy little hotel. It may be a bit older but it has a great location and great staff. Lincoln at the first desk was very helpful and friendly. Definitely check this place out

It was a fine hotel. The whole propoerty feels a bit dated but everything worked well and is in a great location.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Small enough that there was special attention for all the guests. The cozy little lobby bar was a great place to unwind at the end of the day and bar~tender Matt was a great host!

The Equus staff always is pleasant and go beyond what is expected. Exemplary service and friendliness. Olde boutique hotel in an excellent location to lots of things in downtown Honolulu and Waikiki. We will continue to use this as our go-to place to stay when we visit Oahu. Until next time...
