Marketplace Lodge by Whistler Retreats

Es war alles da, was man gebraucht hat. Die Lodge befindet sich in mitten im Ort. Trotzdem war ab 22 Uhr alles ruhig. Die Wanderungen, die man von Whistler aus machen kann sind super, wenn auch die Gondelfahrt extrem teuer ist.

Etwas seltsam war, dass man telefonisch seine Kreditkartendaten durchgeben mußte, das kommt nicht sehr oft vor. Das wurde von mir aus auch zunächst als Fake zur Seite gelegt. Aber man muß es tatsächlich machen, da man danach erst seinen Türcode bekommt. Das war aber dann doch kein Problem. Ein Problem stellt die Gegensprechanlage vor der Lodge da. Man versteht da nämlich nichts. Wir haben dann gewartet, bis uns jemand im Aufzug mitgenommen hat, danach war alles easy.

The fold out bed was a shock that I was not expecting, but it was a lot more comfortable then it looks

location was great, loved having two bathrooms and the outside deck allowed for people watching.

We were not advised that the elevator was not working, this resulted having to carry supplies and luggage up 3 flights of stairs. In addition, because the stairwell to the underground parking locked and we were not provided with a key, we would have to walk down the stairs, all the way to the entrance of the parking and then basically walk the length of the underground parking back to the stairs where the car was parked. Also no air conditioning made for a warm sleep.

The property is great. I have stayed there several times before but not through Booking.com. The whole process of chicken was insane. I have never experienced such a pathetic. System of checking.

The property is fine. I’ve stayed there several times before and will always go back there. Location is perfect for me. Bottle shop downstairs supermarket not too far away and the best cake shop or bakery a short distance. The only thing I can talk about the property is that it needs a vacuum cleaner You spill things on the floor crumbs etc and I don’t like living in filth and it annoys me when I see crumbs on the floor. It would be nice to have a battery operated rechargeable vacuum cleaner so we can tidy up.

Great location, close to the action but at the quieter end of the village. Loved sitting out on the balcony.

A little warm at night but the fan did help.
