The Omni Homestead Resort & Spa

Called to attempt to reschedule upcoming reservation this weekend due to the impending severe snow storm. Was told that they will not honor a cancellation despite the forecast and will keep the money since it is within the cancellation window without any flexibility. I will never plan on staying here ever given the customer service. They care more about short term profits and will lose a customer for life because of this.

The Omni is beautiful and fun for kids. The staff is friendly and helpful. It's like a low-key better version of the Greenbrier. I thought the outdoor pool and hot tub near the ice skating rink were amazing for kids. They absolutely loved it. The ski hill and lodge is the most darling little thing I have ever seen.

We have been to the Homestead many times. The property itself is overall great, pool elevator was out of service, no biggie. Large clean room, but we did have issues with a broken sofa bed that wouldn't lock flat and one instance of no hot water. The restaurants overall appeared to be understaffed on a very busy weekend. Our highlight was lunch at Woody's. Highly encourage the Cascades Gorge hike as an activity. Our guide Brian was so wonderful and engaging. Probably the most fun I have had at this property.

Everyone went above and beyond to ensure our stay was superb! I have been before and this time was truly above and beyond my expectations. Everything from the dinner at autobahn to the day at the spa was worth it! They truly went above and beyond to help my wife and I enjoy here birthday present here!

I have been coming to the homestead for over forty years and I very much approve of the recent rehabilitation it has undergone. My concern on my recent stay only two nights was that my room was never serviced in spite of three calls for service I made. That is not the Homstead I ever experienced before.

The Homestead is a beautiful resort so tastefully decorated. The rooms are comfortable as advertised. Woody's Restuarant is a great spot for a meal on the property.

I felt paying $39 plus tax per night was excessive with no self park options.

I surprised my husband with a birthday trip to The Homestead in Virginia because it was on his bucket list. WA have been going to the Greenbrier over ten years & wanted to compare them.

An absolutely beautiful location and stunning hotel with a lot of history. We are looking forward to coming back in the future.

We had our winter vacation/flight to the Carribean canceled due to the turmoil in Venezuela and had to rebook our vacation locally. My wife and I have been going to The Homestead to celebrate first dates, anniversaries, and special occasions for nearly 25 years so we decided to bring our two daughters for their first trip to the Homestead (which we love). We stayed 5 nights right after New Years and as usual we really enjoyed our stay. The grounds are just as beautiful and the warm, kind people that work there stand out which brings us back each time. There are lots of things to do from afternoon tea, Gorge hikes (a definite), a soak in the Warm Spring (used to be called Jefferson Spring), Spa, pickleball etc. We took advantage of a lot and were very happy to have introduced the Homestead to our two daughters. A review wouldn't be complete without recognizing some of the individuals that made this trip so memorable so here we go. Resort Manager Robert Muehlich - thank you so much for checking in each time you saw us after a small service recovery issue at the spa. We appreciated your thoughtful ness. Amber (Jefferson's), Sudanne (Woody's), Spa bartender (sorry didn't get name) and Oscar (Audubon) for the loving service and attention you provided for our dinners from the steaks, to the crazy pizza, and Prime Rib night and muchines at the spa) Chef Romiro Cordova (Woody's) - thank you stopping by and sharing with us your person journey to the Homestead and wish you many great years in the industry (do try Jose Andres China Chilcano if you're ever in DC) And finally to Brian who guided us in our gorge hike. We were especially excited to have our children experience his amazing guided hike and were thrilled he's still there to give them a sense of the importance of nature from his unique and hilarious and corny jokes point of view. If you are still reading this I'm sure our family's love of the Homestead continues from my generation to next. One small bit of note for the note. The Homestead is quiteseentially southern so there is a lot of nuts in their cuisine. If you have an allergy please do let them know as soon as you arrive and they will honor and guide you through that in every restaurant and venue. Just recommend you do in advance. Enjoy your trip!

The Omni Homestead in warm Springs Virginia is definitely worth the trip. The hotel is beautiful well maintained and provides a variety of activities for families both in the summer and in the winter. Some highlights I would recommend are, going to the warm Springs, ice-skating, family, bingo, and spending time relaxing in the great hall. The history tour is not to be missed. I highly recommend Jefferson’s restaurant and the taproom for delicious elevated food. Woody is a great option for casual dining with young children. However, I would skip the Audubon restaurant as it is overpriced and highly overrated. The rooms were clean and well appointed. There is somewhere evident due to the age of the building and the high volume of people visiting. However, overall, we were satisfied with our room.
