Residence Inn by Marriott Fort Smith

This property is in need of a major upgrade the furniture is dirty, flooring is falling apart and the common green space area is filled with trash!

Very clean well kept and organized rooms, friendly staff, good breakfast, love it!

Nice , clean, friendly staff. Value was very good. Paid more at other hotels that were terrible. Will stay there again. Only downside pool was closed

As a Platinum Elite member, I was not welcomed as one. As for the Hotel it is a VERY VERY TIRED hotel....... carpet is filthy and the rooms are very tired! Only 1 ice machine and it's on the 1st floor.

The rooms desperately need updating. The sofa is worn out and uncomfortable to sit on. The curtains were ripped up. The shower curtain had tears in it. The pillows need replacing because they’re completely flat and lumpy. The toilet ran constantly and the shower dripped non-stop the entire time. The trash can in the kitchen needs to be bigger. There are no ice buckets so you have to use a plastic bag to hold up to the ice machine and get it. For some reason the fire alarms went off multiple times, and the 3rd time they tested it without warning any of the guests, so it caused confusion. The tv doesn’t work half the time and doesn’t show the correct thing that is on the guide. The phone doesn’t work in some of the rooms either. The people in the room above in town for construction, coming in and out all hours of the night, had no regard for the people below them either. Didn’t get much rest for constantly being woken up by them dropping heavy objects on the floor. You could also hear loud noises in the hall at night. Not sure if they have a gas leak or something because you constantly smell gas on the first floor. Asked for a vacuum to clean our room and never received it. I was trying to help out the only 3 reliable housekeepers that they have by cleaning our own room during our almost 2 week stay. We did get clean towels and sheets so we could change them ourselves. Doesn’t look like the tile in one of the bathrooms has been cleaned in forever. I’ve stayed at this property multiple times and this was by far the worst stay. We do appreciate the manager helping us on the last night for our troubles. We definitely expect better from Marriott and being Bonvoy members as well.

Booked a two room suite because I was traveling with three adults and two children. We arrived to find the pull out couch broken with a note saying to contact the front desk forva roll away. We did so only to find out there were no roll aways. We were offered an additional room, but by that time we were unpacked and the kids asleep. What else? The room phones did not work. The room was not clean (plenty of hair in each bathroom). The bathtub did not drain fast so we stood in dirty water. This is obviously not an upscale hotel, but the room was in need of repair. Skip forward to free breakfast... upon walking down at 7:00 on a Wednesday, they were already out of eggs and sausage. Also, not sure when swin season is in Arkansas, but it was early June and the pool was drained. The only redeeming quality of this hotel was that the front desk clerk was very sweet and tried so hard to help at midnight when we checked in and found out we were basically short one bed. However, she was very new and had to call someone else for help, but they couldn't help over the phone. Best advice, proceed with caution.

A terrible experience! One of the reasons I booked this hotel was for it's outdoor pool. The pool was closed. The room was filthy. The bathtub had brown mud stains in it. The carpet looked it had not been vacuumed and was stained all over. I went down to work out in the workout room and the elliptical was broke. 1 star because the bed was comfortable. Never again!

needs updating

We had a pleasant and relaxing overnight here on our way to see family in Mississippi. We appreciated the attentive staff, spacious studio suite, and an Olive Garden just across the back parking lot. Large TV with access to Netflix and other streaming services was a plus. Good breakfast choices. Also liked having handicap parking close to our first floor room. Will stay here again.
