Best Western Inn Florence

We arrived just after 3 pm (were told that we would be able to check in at this time online) but the room was not exactly ready. Nick, the guy at the desk, was nice and adequately helpful but not really overly so. Towels were delivered quickly, although they were not in the room when we arrived. The location was odd--in a cul-du-sac next to a car dealership. Carpets were badly worn in various parts of the hotel. Room was clean, but bathtub had poorly-applied caulking around the edges. It smelled clean inside the hotel. We only stayed one night. Shampoo, condition and lotion for one person only left in the bathroom. Not a big deal, however, since we only were staying one night and we actually brought our own. BREAKFAST was the highlight of the stay. Bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, biscuits and sausage gravy, several choices of coffee, fresh fruit and grapefruit, apple and orange juice, along with a pitcher of iced tea and ice water. Plenty of seating at 8 am when we arrived. Good parking situation -- most spots are within a very short walk to the hotel and the lot was well-lit. That being said, this place was one of THE MORE EXPENSIVE CHOICES. I really expected this place to be outstanding at $135 per night. Now, granted, that is not exorbitant, but there were other choices much less expensive than this hotel. Probably could have done better calling the hotel directly and using our AAA discount or senior discount. We had to drive a little distance to our destination as well. Will do a little more research before booking a room if we will ever stay in this area again.

This place is always a treat. I choose this hotel for a travel layover about twice a year, and am never disappointed. When I walk into the lobby, it's always seasonally decorated, clean, and smells amazing! The front desk personnel are pleasant and welcoming. I get a king room with jetted tub, always located near the side entrance, so bringing in bags and pillows for the night is super easy. The jetted tubs are wonderful and relaxing, beds are comfy, and the rooms are quiet... good coffee in the morning, too (get the bold... very tasty!) There are restaurants and other conveniences nearby. I will be back!

We are greeted with am unfriendly man with tattoos, I don't care about tats but as a way to identify him only. Poor manners. Other than that liked it there

Clean and comfortable. Beds were pretty decent. Breakfast was pretty well stocked. Ran out of eggs and couldn’t find any staff to notify them. It was a busy place. Overall a decent place for our one night stay. A good value.

Squeezed into a very busy area.

I like how friendly and accommodating the staff was. I loved the holiday decor( it wasn't too much). I like the beverage station by the front door with fresh lemonade. I loved the yogurt bar options for breakfast. My bed was comfortable and the water was hot. The parking lot was not too full.

There really wasn't anything to dislike. The ice machine was broken, but the staff brought bags of ice to accommodate customers.
