Magnuson Hotel Fowlerville

No elevator to second floor. TV was direct tv but mine needed to be reset twice. Breakfast hours were brief.

It was clean, close to the event we were at, and the staff was very friendly.

The bed and pillows were too hard for me.

Great price. Easy access to highway. Good shopping eight minutes away. Would stay there again.

Sadly mediocre at best. Multiple flickering light fixtures in the room, light random damage on the walls. Someone's shorts and underwear in a drawer in our room, this makes me question how thoroughly the room was cleaned. Bathroom door knob on the. edge of falling off of the door. I'd rather pay more money and stay somewhere else.

Staff was very friendly, rooms exterior entrance, curtains kept light out, which made it easy to sleep during daylight hours. Fridge work great, I didn't use microwave or coffee pot, but they were in the room. Price of the room was decent for the area.

Mattress was super firm and very uncomfortable. The room had a faint smell of smoke.

I stay at the Magnuson a few times a year and have done so for over a decade. Staff is always very friendly and helpful.

I liked everything.

The sofa in the room was old and dirty

The guy running the desk was super nice. It was the only hotel available near where I had to go super early the next morning. They let me just leave the key in the room due to the super early check out needed.

The place is absolutely disgusting. Like if there would have been any other hotels remotely close with availability I would have checked out. I even considered spending the night in my vehicle instead. First thing that I noticed the musty smell. Then the patches of tape or wallpaper over certain spots to cover up what was underneath. Then the dust on the fridge and microwave. Then the headboard having something nasty on it that I had to wash off. Cleaned down the sink and toliet and door handles. But the real kicker was the hole in the shower. No idea what the hole was for and why it was there. Very scary and concerning that any motel would rent out a room that would have that. We found a way to cover the hole and showered in our swimsuits. Honestly I didn't even bother complaining at the front desk due to the negative comments the owners seem to make online anytime anyone points anything out. I was prepared for likely a not great experience but the reviews didn't truly tell how horrible it actually is.
